Generally that stiffness is due to a failed clutch cover (engine side). the pressure fingers inside lose their ability to compress and throw out sufficiently. I have had mixed results with aftermarket pressure plates as many are stiff right out of the carton. If you can afford, use honda oem parts for best results and dont forget to include the bearing

You probably have the correct parts...Im a bit unclear about buying clutch for engine or transmission. What I can tell you is I have resorted to installing aftermarket, re-manufactured componentry and have had simular results in the past.Very undesirable, stiff pedal which was a result from a crappy pressure plate. At one point I swore off using them and will only install new cover from Honda but I do realize the expense of new parts.

1990 crx base model honda civic want start

I would suggest an ignition module. If it is a rough idle at startup I would check the throttle position sensor. You can check that by starting the car and unplugging the TPS. If the car runs differently then chances are it is working fine.

212 spine. It depends there are three different types. You need to pull it out and check to order a new one. eBay has loads once you know whch one it is either 19,20 or 21mm.

Hard to Get into Gear?

Either your clutch is not fully dis-engaging or the transmission synchros are worn. Check the clutch master cylinder for level and check system for any leaks if it is a bit low.

1990 honda crx si transmission trouble

this is not the problem of fluid, this is a major problem of transmission. The transmission must be detached from the engine, which you cant do by yourself. the transmission can be repaired but i dont know mechanics in your do it. otherwise you have to replace the transmission.
