Will a fuse in a 2003 altima keep it from starting

The most likely cause would be a wire chaffed through and shorting out on the body. Pull the plug in off the light and start tracing it back looking for a bare spot. Tape it up with electrical tape and try to re-route it so this doesn't occur again. Hope this helps.

The 10amp ECM fuse powers all of the sensors controlled by the computer.
You may have to get a shop manual to get the diagrams to check the circuits. You might check to see what is off when the fuse is blown to verify it involves the computer. If the TPS is shorted to ground it would blow that fuse.

It is possible but doubtful.

verify the radiator fans, fuses, relays of fans. when you turn on the a/c all the radiator fan turn on too, if not you have a problem with it.

Debris must of gotten inside the IAC, start there

Go out at night, or dusk, with a flash lite, replace the fuse with a higher amp or any spare fuse, turn out the lights, turn on the car lights, look for a spark somewhere, have people standing around engine comp, if it doesn't blow, wiggle wires, if it shorts out, you should see a spark, fix with tape, you should be all set.

headlights should be on same fuse. fuse box should be located in engine compartment

I also have a 2003 that does this from time to time, mostly when parked on an incline. I push the gas to the floor and start it that way, tempermental that way and will smoke alot at first. This has worked for me. -Carl

take to dealership , that also is a recall problem with alot of altimas , they need to flush system and check water valve , got mine fixed working great ever since , never hesitate to ask dealership about recalls , they have to fix for free
