SOURCE: toyota landcruiser ignition switch

I am not 100% sure on toyota but most ignition switches you must remove the housing around the steering wheel to get to it . Its usually a large plastic componet on the left side behind the turn signal handle . It is always best to go to the local auto parts store and buy a haynes repair manual before attempting any repairs. Hope evereything turns out well for you !!

SOURCE: 2007 Toyota Yaris Stereo Won't Eject CDs

you may have to use needle nose pliers to pull them out or remove the radio and open it up and remove them also take a look at the drive belt it may have broke, there are many electrionic places that will repair it if you remove it and take it to them, most of the one i run into broke a belt or 2cds were jamed inside it.

2007 toyota camry cd player reading error 1

I had the error code no. 1 in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has the CD radio unit with JBL system. It will not eject the CD, or play it. I removed the entire radio/CD unit and replaced it with a used excellent unit bought off of ebay for $100, and the replacement works fine. However the replacement is also 7 years old. Therefore I would not be surprised if it failed again. Prior to the error 1 I had intermittent error 3 codes, which had the same effect: no playing of the CD, unable to eject, and unable to insert other CDs. Sometimes the error codes would go away, and the function would be normal. But once it started, I think it was on a downhill path. A new replacement is nearly $2000. Used are about $100 to $200 or more depending on the seller and condition of the unit. Youtube has videos on how to replace the unit which only requires simple tools: it is not difficult but takes about 45 minutes to an hour. If you do it you have to put the car in gear to move the gear shift gate, which requires the car to be on, so you should have the parking brake on for safety. One alternative is to send your unit to a repair company but that might cost more than simply replacing the unit. Good luck!

Check all fittings, plugs and fuses. Further problem exits, it seems to bad pre-amp. Its better to replace the pre-amp. If necessary you can get aftermarket radio at wholesale price at http://www.autopartspoint.com/products/cd-radios.html

Need Toyota radio security code

Oribeeboy is spot on for a 100 series Landcruiser - last 3 VIN numbers.
Let's say the last 3 VIN Nos were 264
Turn the ignition key so that the radio displays "SEC"
then: press "TUNE"and press No1 button on the radio at same time
then: press No1 button 2 times
then: press No2 button 6 times
then press No3 button 4 times
Finally hold the "SCAN" button to confirm the code. The radio will then turn itself off. You can then turn it on in the normal way.
(Hopefully!)

JBL Error 1

Error one is unique to the disc being inserted into the player.
According to the service manual, this is the exact statement:

Err 1 appears on the display:
This indicates that the disc is dirty, scratched, damaged, incorrect (as in a "burnt" disc), or has been inserted upside down. Clean the disc or insert it correctly.

Toyota CD players are very sesnitive, and the svc manual specifically mentions not to use anything other than "store-bought" CDs.
