I have a 2005 4.0l base mustang. I see throttle bodies for 2005 to 2008 and for 2006 to 2010. What is the difference. There is a 3 year over lap. Will the one that says 2006 to 2010 work on my 2005.

SOURCE: 2005 Mustang GT idleing problem

may be it the problem of another throttle body.also check the ignition switch.

Check all of the battery terminals and cables and check the wires on the starter/selonoid, start from the battery and follow the cable out and check all conections , clean and tighten them and if it still does it the starter/selonoid is bad and needs replacement...

SOURCE: sprayed carb cleaner in throttle body of a mustang and it says not to spray it in there, what do i do

It sounds like you need an oxygen sensor. You are not getting the proper air-fuel ratio. murf427

84 mustang 5.0 auto-Idle problems. runs Ok when cold , runs rough and stalls when warm. 1st year throttle body injection. was told the IAC valve needs cleaned. can`t find on car

the iac sensor is along the side of throttle body , did you give the throttle plate area a good cleaning out this is where the air path is for the IAC sensor , a lot of idle problems have been fixed with a can of throttle body cleaner and few good squirts of the stuff down the hole

I HAVE A 1988 MUSTANG 5.0 THAT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS. I HAVE PUT NEW PLUGS AND WIRES ,NEW GAS WILL TURN OVER BUT WONT START

Check the fuel pressure at the Carburetor or fuel rail, depending on which you have. Most likely the gas that was in the rail or carburetor has dried out and gummed up the injectors or needle valve holes. To verify, if you have a carburetor you can pour a small amount of gas in the throttle body of the carburetor and try to start it. If it starts that confirms the problem and you will need to clean the carburetor with a rebuild.

I have a 1995 Mustang that idles at 1.5 rpm and is slow to return to idle speed after a stop. I unpluged the electrical connector on the IAC valve and it made the car run at idle speed. Does this mean that...

Sounds pretty likely to be the iac. there should be a test for that - find it in the chiltons or haynes repair manual for your year, make model car - books found at yoru local auto parts store or local library - call ahead to be sure it is in stock

My 93 mustang gt 5.0 sounds like a lawn mower

fuel filter, Dirty throttle body, or it probably needs a good tune up, If you clean the throttle body, use the right spray.Do that before you change the plugs
