I have a 2004 sea doo with a starting problem. It will turn over 3 or 4 times and then just click. I have a new battery and have cleaned all terminals within reach.

check for corroded wire, connections and ground points

There is a bad connection at the battery terminals or cable connections, check the battery posts and cable terminals are shiny clean, check the earth cable is clean and tight at the chassis , check the cable to the starter motor is tight and clean, if all is good there the starter may be at fault.

1 With your headlights on before inserting key Do your headlights shine OK ?
2 Do they Dim or go out when you turn the key?.
3. Do you get any clicking sound when you turn the key??

Results
1 if not possible bad battery - or battery cable to battery, engine and ground points connections bad/need cleaning possibly.

2 If they go Out - See number 1 . Also, Started may be enganged t engine and stuck.

3. No Clicking = #1 possible.

check voltage going to battery it is most likely low

These vessels have a kill switch with a cord that you have to wear on the arm in case you fall off. I would be looking for a problem with that kill switch

Ck the negative battery cable on both ends. remove, clean and reinstall. It is a poor connection. Or a shot battery.
