if it is covered by a white plastic then inspect it carefully and look for slots where you can put tiny screwdrivers to pry the plastics off, then you can replace your bulb. just be careful not to break the plastic.

Daughter had same problem on '05 T&C. Neighborhood mechanic searched Internet and found 80-90 others with same problem right around 40,000 miles. Free solution was to pull yellow 20A IOD fuse in right front corner of fuse box under hood, wait 10 seconds, then reinsert fuse. Should solve problem as long as you don't lock doors with FOB. You can unlock doors with FOB, but apparently locking with FOB causes the problem.
Permanent solution is to have dealer reprogram computer for around $50 which is what my daughter chose to do because of inconvenience of not being able to lock doors with FOB when getting baby/carseat out of vehicle.

the plastic lens that you press to turn the light off and on can be remove with a pick or small screwdriver pry from the outer edge of it and it will pop off. the light will come out with the socket by twisting.
SOURCE: door closed but door ajar comes on
There is a switch or sensor on the door frame either on the hinch side or on the latch side. Try to activate it with the the car on. With the door open, the door open light should light on, if it is a mechanical switch, push it in, if a sensor, touch it with a steel object, the light should turn off. This means the door switch is working ok. Now try the same again but this time push the switch slowly until the door ajar warning light turns on. This means that the switch works ok. Now, close the door from outside and check that there is no gap betwwen the body and the door line all over the perimeter of it. If there is a gap mainly at the latch side or at the hinch side, it can be your problem. If so, let me know so I can show you how to adjust the door to eliminate the gap.
If there is no gaps, your door switch is to low (too far in), let me know so I can show you how to adjust it.
