SOURCE: Rear shock absorbers in 1997 Olds Regency

No Adjustments. The shocks are just too Soft. Replace them with the Originals From Factory and they will be better. They get softer the longer they are used.

SOURCE: I have an 1997 isuzu trooper that is overheating,

Radiator can't handle the load.. Just make sure the fans are pulling air... One way to see if the radiator is at fault is to try turning the heater on high... If the temps stay cooler the radiator has had it. Turning the heater on in emergency is good to know so I hope this helps.

Wish the best with the chemo... will be praying for her.

1997. How do I adjust the rear door to stop it from leaking?

leaks can be caused by many things
bent door
bad gasket on door
bad window seal.
first is to discover that.

adjusting is not trivial due to the very tight bolts there.
takes special tools to do that. (impact gun and special bits)
some times just making the strike plate , moved inward will stop a leak, it too , has very tight screws.
The FSM book covers this topic, under BODY chapter.

I've changed the head gasket (top overhaul),the thermostat, the radiator cap and serviced the radiator where the water is flushed out and replaced and checked for no leaks but still my trooper over

You have a water leak from the sound of it or water is draining from over heating. Things to check for, leaks at the hose connections, leaks at heater connections on engine, leaks at water pump and any leaks at head gasket. Assuming there are no leaks check or replace or adjust your water pump belt. Take the thermostat out and run the engine without out it. If the problem is solved replace the thermostat recommended for you car. You can also have it checked as well.

My husband and I have mystery chronic overheating in our 96 Isuzu Trooper. The woman who sold it to us had a new radiator installed just prior to us buying the vehicle. Since then, we've installed a new...

ouch. leaking fluid and no signs of leak. check engine oil. if it appears milky, you are leaking into the cylinders. this means you'll need a new head gasket.

Oil leak

Sounds like the High Pressure Oil Pump mounting O seals. See if the soundproofing under the pump is soaked in oil to be sure.

Alternator removal on 1997 Isuzu Trooper

My son just got the alternator off of my Trooper (1997) and he said removing the wheel is not necessary. He took off 2 bolts from the top and several from the bottom that were very difficult to remove but then the alternator came off pretty easy. He says if it loose then it should come off pretty easy, if it is not loose, you must be missing a bolt somewhere. He also says is you are in our area, call him and he will take it off for $100 =)

Isuzu car engine overheating

I had the same problem on a Vauxhall Montery (Same Car), The thermostat jams shut thus causing the engine to overheat and damages both the cylinder head and gasket, first thing to check is the enigne oil, pull out the dipstick and check for a white, spongy liquid. If present then your head gasket is passing water into the crankcase, If engine oil OK then fill up the coolant system and give the car a good old rev for a few minutes then check teh exhaust for water. In both cases the cylinder had needs to be removed, skimmed, gasket replaced and thermostat replaced.
