SOURCE: Stalls when at idle after changing battery

When you changed the battery the computer must re-learn the setting again. If it continues have a OBD II reader plugged in and check for codes.

SOURCE: i have a mitsubishi eclipse

This is usually caused by air entering the hydraulic clutch system after the fluid in the reservoir has leaked out of the slave cylinder. Check the fluid level and if low check the slave on the transmission for a leak. If leaking, replace the slave cylinder aqnd bleed the system. If this is not the problem or you have questions/need instructions, please let me know.

1998 tacoma 3.4L sputters then clears up shifting through the gears

Check the throttle positon sensor on the throttle body. You can do that with a meter. Your idle air control turns off when the truck heats up and is the reason you are noticing it more after it is warmed up.

After my 1992 eclipse warms up and i go to put into gear it dies why is that

Very likely a bad TPS (throttle position sensor). This determines the idling speed under all conditions. If it malfunctions, it would cause your problem where it's not idling fast enough when warm to keep car from stalling.

Transmission rebuilt 5 years ago on a 1997 Eclipse RS. Now, the RPM levels are extremely high even without full acceleration.

The likely cause for your high RPM may be caused by a vacuum leak in the engine. You can open the hood and check your hoses for cracks and leaks. This is a good place to start, but may no be a full solution.

RPM drops to zero at idling after engine accelerates when warm

This may been an ignition module or a MAF sensor, this car may need to be diagnosed using a OBD I computer code reader to accurately diagnose the problem.

Sluggish and no pwer up a hill. Almost backfiring in second gear.

Yea probably the bad gas clogged the filter or clogged an already dirty fuel filter. Try changing it. If not I would say try using a lower gear by turning off the overdrive.

Trouble starting, engine won't catch

Try pulling the engine coolant temp sensor, They often crack not sure why but the ceramic tip cracks makes the car hard to start, the car's idle may race while shifting gears, and often smokes. The sensor is on the right side of the engine when looking at it on the head. Easy to change and get too
