My guess would be bad socket.

SOURCE: Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

take the bulb back out have someone sit in car apply brake get your self a circuit tester and check to see if this circuit is carrying efficient 12 volt current! some times in cold weather these bulbs get hot with long period of breaking and when released condensate and rust begins and you get what you have perhaps bad socket! this would be a ideal location to begin and probably end,

SOURCE: brake light on the left works but my right side

After you have checked all the obvious = fuses/connections etc. and still have problems - look closely at the bulb itself, especially the crimp connections of the filament where it joins the up-stands inside the bulb (use an eyeglass) this is often where manufacturing faults occur, I have had two bulbs from the same shop/batch just recently with this fault. This also shows as a intermittent fault with lamp failure alarm coming on - then for no reason going back off.
Good luck

SOURCE: Brake lights don't work. Replaced bulbs, checked

Yes, you need to of course check the voltage coming into and going out of the brake light switch, if 12 Volts are there going out and coming in while pressing on the brake pedal, your brake lights aren't getting a good ground or there is a break in the circuit between that switch & the lights.

On occasion the tail lights will work with a weak ground circuit where the Brake lights won't. Best way to determine this is to just hook up the 12 volt tester to the Brake light hot wire & there at the bulb ground, then in an area away from the bulb that has a good possibility of contact/ground.

Really that's it, if the 12Volts is getting to the bulb but it isn't lighting, if you aren't getting the voltage there and the brake switch is hot on both sides when pressed, the break in voltage will have to be traced from that switch to the tail light to find the problem.

good luck.

SOURCE: 2001 jaguar s type - Right tail lamp failure

There is a harness that you unplugged for the rear tail lamp. Make sure it is fully pressed and locked. This is always the cause on jags for tail lamp failure.

Sounds like you have a ground issue. Make sure you check the ground between the bulb socket and the body.

No brake lights. replaced fuse, bulbs and switch.

You probably already checked the fuses, but if you have not ...

Have the brake lamp holders been checked to determine whether they are corroded? (That was my problem with front turn signal bulbs - replaced the lamp holders.)

No functon the back lamp

Possible failure of the bulb, failure of the connection or the holder assembly or a possible ground connection.
Use a voltmeter to confirm the voltage, if not check the fuse of the back light/brake light- check brake light pressure switch.

No brake light one side

It is likely that the bulb is just out as the left and right brake lights would be on the same circuit. Unless there is a strange wiring issue simply replacing the bulbs should correct your problem.

Right tail lamp failed

check all the fuses, if fuses ok, then check the wire at the light connection, the jag is really a ford along with its faults, common fault is the earth on the light and the light bulb holder also plays up
