HI there if you coolant is not circulating and you replaced pump &thermostat and heater core and still over heating. Your problem is your radiator is clogged you can replace it or tack it too a radiator shope and them flash coolant system. this should fix your over heating problem . OK
Check the waterpump and thermostat. When the waterpump doesn't turn, engine heat is not transported to the radiator. When the thermostat doesn't open once warm the same happens - no engine cooling.
The radiator should be hot op top and cooler at the bottom. If it's cold allover then there's no cooling fluid transport
It is buried. It is underneath the waterpump, and that is underneath the AC, alternator, power steering, etc. It takes about 5 hours to do the thermostat. Ultimately it is only held to the block by 2 bolts, and it is on the passenger side, front of the engine. You can see the pulley that drives the waterpump. But it is not easy getting to those 2 bolts.
just because the gauge seems normal doesnt mean the thermostat is good, its 5 years old,and may be opening to soon, i would start by having the t-stat replaced and while thats being done have the cooling system flushed including a flush off the heatercore. i ve worked on a couple of these vans with heating problems, most were low on coolant due to a slow waterpup leak, the others with half plugged heatercores, due to the lack of coolant flushes. hope this helps.
Test thermostat in a jug and pour boiling water on it , it should compress meaning it works. Check that the waterpunp is operating pushing water into the engine .Check that radiator water flows to the watrpump. Is tension of fanbelt of waterpump sufficient that it doenst slip. Lastly check that the radiator fan is working if has a electric fan. if this doesn’t help check if radiator or engine water passages isn’t blocked.
