Code 404 is for a problem with the EGR valve and code 307 is for a miss on cylinder 7. The egr valve would need to be tested, and the spark plug and injector checked out on cylinder 7.

First impression is a MAP sensor. If you take the car to a service station or an auto parts store that features free diagnostic tests, I'm sure the MAP sensor fault will appear. Other cause could be the TPS which controls the idle at cold, warm, and AC operation settings. It's possible that you're stalling due to insufficient idle speed setting on the TPS.
Hi I have a 1992 caddie eldorado I replaced the heater motor and squirrl cage with a new one for the second time.I have power to the heater motor. The test light is much brighter on the possitive side much dimmer light when connected to negitive side of plug.Is there a censor somewhere or can I hook the heater motor directly to the battery with a toggle switch.IT'S getting cold up here and I've got to have the heater for the defrost. Also I've heard they sell an electric defrost blower that plugs into the cigarette lighter any input on how these work.If there actually worth the money time and effort.Would much rather get the origional heater motor going as it's brand new and a real pain in the back to change any input would be great thank you [email protected]
