SOURCE: battery removal 2000 cadillac deville

Its on passenger side under rear seat cushion. Get in back seat FACING rear seatback, grab under lip of bottom seat cushion, and pull straight up. Disconnect seat heater connector (if so equipped) on passenger side and remove seat bottom. Tada! There ya go! Oh... btw. Its a $150 battery due to the venting system designed into it to vent fumes through a tube to the outside world. Thanks Cadillac!!! :(

SOURCE: 1998 Caddilac DeVille overheated water in the oil

It depends if you really like the car or not how much it costs.and how many original miles your engine has on it now. It might be less expensive to find and put a good low mileage used motor in there instead vs. replacing the Head Gasket and rebuiling the Head.

I have a 2000 deville need info on how to take off the oil pan? Do i need to take off the transmission pan to get to the bolts thats caught alongside the transmission and the oilpan? There are two bolts...

No. You have to take the engine out of the car. I just did this to my wife's car. It is a pain because you have to take the engine out through the bottom of the car.

There's a knock on start up, and when I checked the oil none registered on the dip stick, no visible leaks and no oil stains anywhere. I only just gave it an oil change. There was no oil light warning at...

no oil on dipstick is a very BAD THING make sure you have oil in the motor before you do anything else!!! or else it can cost you a motor if you did your own oil change,,, did you put oilpan plug back in? did you tighten the oil filter? did you put 5qts oil back into motor? there SHOULD BE A READING ON THE DIPSTICK. new oil looks almost transparent on the dipstick. try rubbing your finger on the dipstick to check for oil presence. look real close at the dipstick before you start your motor!!! if you added 5qts oil it went somewhere, are you sure it went into the motor? if no oil in motor there will be loud knocking from the motor. hope this helped you save your motor!!!!!

My 1998 caddilac deville low oil pressure light on

the low oil pressure light can be a faulty oil pressure sensor. But mostly its the pump itself. open the oil pan and check if the net is chocked if not then replace the oil pump and do install the new o ring supplied with the pump. And try changing the oil on time and a good brand is important. (if the problem still exists then u need to replace the crank barring and the cam bushings..Just kidding).

Oil Dipstick

i would say that replacing oilpan was the cause of this problem and if the machanics shop was to instal a oil pan from an aftermarket company not the oem origional equipment there might be an issue with this dipstick tube on this paticular aftermarket part that was installed suggest to remove oil pan and inspect for inperfections near or around filler tube acess hole maybe gasket or silicone builup an that area
good luck
