My tahoe 2005 starts but turns off windows and doors wont lock windows dont work what could it be

the locking mecanizine is jam lub the latch its not easy to do you might have to remove the inner panel of the door .put some lub and try to move the lock unlock button many time for the lub to go in wd-40 or something better thank you

This is a common problem, there is either a pinched wire in the harness that is in the door jam or your fuse block is shot, there is a gm service bulletin out on this, I would call your local dealership to find out if it is covered.

If the drivers side does absolutely nothing, there is a chance that power plug that goes into the door has come apart. There is a rubber boot that goes from the cab to the door, that is where the wires run. The power plug is usually right before the boot or right after.

The door locks on my 1999 tahoe stopped working and I checked the fuse, which was fine. The problem turned out to be that the fuse for my cigarette lighter was bad and for some reason it also must be working in order for the door locks to work. Put in a new cigarette lighter fuse and the door locks worked again!
