If you cannot manually unlock the door, use a rubber hammer and firmly rap the door at the striker/lock area while manually sliding the lock/unlock switch to unlock,it may take a few tries but should unlock.DO NOT lock the door again until you have lubed the lock assembly and are happy with it's operation. If it's an electric lock fail to unlock/lock,with the door open use steel wool on the door post electrical door contact pads once in a while.

For the sliding doors you need to clean the contacts, there are 6 or 8 on both sides, just wipe them clean as they are probably covered in oil/grease/grime.

SOURCE: My 1999 pontiac montana rear sliding power door will not work

I went to bulldogsecurity.com and looked up the wiring diagram for this vehcle. However, prior to checking this part, I would check to see if you have a blown fuse. It doesn't hurt and only takes a few minutes. There should be a fuse for that either somewhere on the side of the dash or near the brake pedal area. If not it may be under the hood, but it should be inside the vehicle. You may have multiple fuse boxes. If it has (2) sliding doors it will have a wire for the auto doors in each kick panel (under the plastic trim/molding) when you open the door and look down you will see all of the trim/molding it should snap out or may be held in place with a screw or (2). Once you remove that you should see the wires. It says for the left side it is either light blue or black and the right side is definitely light blue. Trace this wire until you find out where it ends (the motor or switch to control the auto doors) Then test the switch/motor to see if it is bad.

Verify the wiring harness which passes under plastic step & carpet at front passenger side. This wiring harness goes from the firewall to the pillar on the right side and some have crimped connectors in them to act as junction between two or more wires (ususlly the 12volt feed), which deteriorate with time, especially with Salt & Water. Then the electric sliding door stops working and even driver the electric seat can loose power.

1999 Pontiac Montana power door lock is stuck and will not open by power button. Also cannot open manually. How do I get to it to releace the lock

Do the other locks operate by keyless remote? I ask this to eliminate the possibility of the issues lying with your batteries in the key fob? If not you might have to use the key in the passenger door.or the back hatch?

2000 hyundai sonata passenger door lock stuck in locked position

If your talking about the teeth/latch that actually engage around the pin to hold the door closed and not the lock you puhs down to lock it. all you have to do is get a screwdriver or anything small and strong you can stick in it and pull the tooth back into the "open" position. You might have to pull the handle out like your opening the door normally while you do this.

My '99 Pontiac Montana right sliding door and front door do not open. The windows and clock/sometimes CD player don't work nor does the A/C. Is there a fix? The fuses?

2 common possibilities. The plungers and plunger pads on the door and the door jam are corroded. Clean those off with a fine sandpaper, then put a dab of silicone grease on them. Then do the re-set procedure exactly as the steps indicate. If that does not help, then a possible door position sensor or the door control module is bad. A diagnostic using the on/off switch and the open/close switchon the system may indicate a code for door position problem. The door position sensor is part of the door motor/actuator assembly. The control module can be replaced separately. Info from here.

I have a 99 montana passenger side sliding door dont work. Hit either button all it does is clicks and motor seems to be fine.. I went to junk yard bought complete new motor and everything that comes...

I would check the overhead buttons there are two one opens the door, and the other beside it that shows the van crossed out, disables the electric sliding door feature. try playing with that, Also remember, that vehicle must be in PARK for the electric sliding door to open. Make sure the power lock on that door is working, and check the child safety lock when you have it open by the doors catch. Hope that Helps You.
