Check engine light

I think you need to have that MIL checked with a code reader and go from there. It may be related to the problems you had before or it could be a completely different system.

Check engin light is on reads code p1153 bank 2 sensor 1 change sensor light is back on and reads same code how do i fix it thanks

if you used a diagnostic code retriever tester, the tester will take the light out, if you do not have a code tester, then disconnect the positive battery cable, for about 1 minute, then reconnect it, the light should be out , but you will have to reset your radio clock, hope that this information has helped you.

Purchased a month ago, was fine, hit a pothole smelled a strong smell of gas and then check engine light came on. Then within driving very srong smell of gas. That problem was fixed but check engine still...

have someone, or yourself hook up a code retriever, to the aldl, under your instrument panel, on the drivers side, this will tell you what triuble codes that the computer has picked up, and then you can check those areas, in order to fix the problem, once the problem is fixed, you can remove the check engine light with the tester, or remove the positive battery cable for about 1 minute, then reconnect it, you will most likely have to reset your clock, and any radio functions that might have been disturbed, the light should be out, hope that this information has helped you.

Check engine light stays on, I have repladed the EGR valve and the fuel filter,

once the engine light came on, and you replaced the egr valve and the fuel filter, did you use a diagnostic code tester to see what code it was before you replaced these two items, if so, then the code tester can remove the engine light from being on, or if you don't have the tester, just disconnect the positive battery cable for about 1 minute, and then reconnect it back up, the light should be out now, but you will have to re set your clock, and radio functions if they were disturbed from the disconnection of the cable.

When I go over 70mph my speedometer goes crazy. Now my engine light is on, but 6 months ago I replaced O2 Sensor because the engine light was on.

Pull the code from the computer, my guess is speed sensor.

You can also try resetting the computer, simply disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes.

Hope this helps.

On my 1999 suburban 1500 came out on the panel, the ( service engine sun } light, I test it and on the test came out manfacurer control p1345, ignition system or mis fire. the engine crank perfect it...

if you have 1 of the newer type code testers, there is a selection on them consisting of yes or no, this is to notify you if you want to remove the trouble code from the system , or not, if you select the yes button to remove the code , it will take the service engine light out, if you do not have 1 of the code testers, then, you can disconnect the positive battety cable for a couple of minutes, then reconnect it, if the light still stays on , go to you closest local auto parts store, let them hook up their code tester, and remove the code for you, hope that this information has been helpful.

If you are running any extra systems, ie amps, subs, high watt speakers, etc. etc. you may need to get a better batter, like the blue. or yellow top one. check with auto zone.

Want to reset engine on F-250 after replacing the battery - it won't pass inspection because the engine didn't reset. Battery replaced 3 months ago. Truck running fine.

Got to Autozone and ask then to hook it up to a code breaker,(free) see what codes are there, then reset the light, if the codes are for troubles post in your response and we all here will help you to repair them. Hope this helps, let me know.

2003 VW Jetta TDI Check Engine Light Issue

Try disconnecting the battery (unhook on of the terminals) wait for like 15 mins, hook the terminal once again and start the car. I also own a 2003 Jetta and once my engine light would come on after 2 mins of driving. Disconnecting the battery is like resetting the computer and hopefully the sensor.
