To remove the center console on a 1999 Mercedes Benz ML 320, you can follow these steps:
- Remove the shift knob by twisting it counterclockwise and pulling it up.
- Remove the shifter trim panel by gently prying it up with a trim removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver.
- Remove the ashtray by pressing the release button and pulling it out.
- Remove the screws that secure the center console to the vehicle. There should be two or four screws, depending on the vehicle's configuration. They are located at the front and rear of the console.
- Carefully lift the console up and away from the vehicle, taking care not to damage any wiring or connectors.
Once the console is removed, you can access any components that may need servicing, such as the radio or climate control module. When reassembling the console, be sure to reattach any wiring or connectors and secure the console with the screws in their original locations.
