I have a 2002 PT cruiser. We recently had some overheating problems with the engine and my husband put a new radiator in it and all seemed fine. Then today it started acting weird, only 3-4 days after getting a new radiator & battery.
It was making a high pitched squeeling noise when it reached 3000 rpm (several times today). When he pulled it in the garage this evening to look at it, with the car turned off and keys out of ignition the car acted like it was trying to start itself (2 different times). So now he has disconnected the battery. Do you have any ideas??? -Elsie

The nut on the starter cable was loose allowing it to drop onto the solenoid causing the problem
