Sounds like plastic clicking when i accelerate in my 2000 ford taurus lx . Also the battery indicator light comes on and at the same time the temperature gauge goes haywire. What could this be???

it the wiring issue. Need to see an auto electrician

The starter relay may be bad or the starter motor may be bad. Poor battery cable connections will do it too.

What about the CV joints or the splined shaft that goes into the hub ?

Sounds like the.alternator is bad or has a short

Torqu converter clutch seems bad, drive uphill with 1 foot on gas & tap brakes at same time, if engine revs up, this is the problem

The fuse could be labeled as 'Ilum' or 'Dash'.

The click under dash is just a relay. sounds like starter solenoid quit working.

Sounds like a misfire..either maybe a bad coil..or a simple tune up wires and plugs..If it feels like a ""fish bite"" when accelerating slowly up a hill..then its usually in the ignition system..Also look for codes..Is the engine light on or flashing..that indicates which cylinder
