Torque sequence:
You're driving a diesel single cylinder head engine. Engine head torque has to be done in specific order and stages if not can warp head or break bolts. Suggest you get torque sequence and torque specs from your Toyota dealer, they can give you correct answer. Don't trust answers on here, if you choose wrong specs. could end up messing up head.


Flywheel - Use a Sealer on bolt, Manual Transmission 88nm/65 ft lb... Auto Transmission 74nm/55 ft lb

go google --type in torque specifications for toyota ( your vehicle ) diesel. There are pages that will give the specs and the rotation to do the job.

Check that the intercooler is in good condition (no cracks or leaks) and the hoses are tight at the hose clamps . Next talk to a diesel pump repair specialist as you may have to re-tip the injectors and re-calibrate the pump for the extra air that the turbo produces. Check that you have the correct turbo for the diesel

3.9L V6 5.2L & 5.9L V8's

flywheel bolts 55 ft lbs.

5.9L ( 24 valve ) 6-cylinder diesel

flywheel bolts 101 ft lbs.

8.0L V10

flywheeel bolts 55 ft lbs.

I want to change the engine oil in my 200 series cruiser how do I get to the sump plug & filter.

Take trans out, clutch out, and remove the flywheel bolts.

i would not worry about torque settings just tighten them down to what feels comfortable to you, this should be OK. it is how i do it, as long as there is not alot of play in them, you should be fine.
