First open the hood, start engine, have someone turn ac on. check if compressor engages.....only the outside pulley turns when not on. when the ac is engaged, both the outside and inside pulley rotate..... you will observe the 2 parts when someone turns on the ac. if no different then the compressor clutch, relay switch or wiring is bad. one can put a test light or voltmeter at the ccmpressor clutch to see if it gets power when the switch is turned on. ... if the compressor is ok then most likely ; low or no refridgerent(gaz). be aware if that's the case find/fix leak before recharging

There are few problem with the A/C cooling system better check for A/C unit fuse weather it is blown or in good condition, check for the proper working of A/C condencer unit fan motor assembly for proper working, check for weather their is no lick of gas any where in the entire A/C unit complete system or more problem better consult or take the vehicle to nearest Hyundai authorised workshop or better take it to a well knon or experiencied person who had done this sort of problematic work.

Piston positions in 2004 hyndai santa fae

I were awakened by a loud explosion that sounded like a tire on an 18 wheeler blew out on the interstae nearby. then within seconds a smaller sxplosion and the 'panic' alarm on our 2008 Syundai Santa Fe started on go off. by the time I reached the window to look out on our driveway the rear drivers side of our 2008 Santa Fe was engulfed in flames, and only 3 feet from our house and parked next to our 2001 GMC 'Jimmy". One of our neighbors was frantically screaming for us to get out of our house and pounding on our front door. The vehicle had not been driven for over 2 days --- it just spontanousely erupted in flames.
WHY? Has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening to a new Santa Fe with less than 2,500 miles on it?

AC not blowing cold air

Most likely the A/C system needs to be recharged with freon.
Most shops charge under $50 for this service.
