SOURCE: 98 honda civic auto transmission shifter

I'm thinking this is an interior problem. Dirt ETC.. can build up around the shifter, you can pop the panel below the shifter up with a screwdriver. Clean this panel up and lube up the linkage below and you should be good to go.

SOURCE: location of knock sensor on a 98 honda civic v -tech 4 cylinder

It is on the lower left side of the engine (side towards firewall - see picture).
Knock sensor failures are pretty rare, why are you looking for it?

Why my 2001 Honda civic will not shift into overdrive even going 40 miles an hour?

There are adjustments to be made on the outside linkage of your transmission. Take it to an honest transmission shop that won't tell you to replace the whole transmission.

Honda civic CF4 auto transmission sec gear does not work

If it is jumping from 1st to 3rd then you lost the band for 2nd gear, if you drop the pan and see metal shavings then it is a positive on the band. It would require a transmission rebuild. For most transmission inspections you have to pull the transmission.

****** is sliping

Usually there is only a reverse and low band.
You might check a shop manual that covers transmissions to see if there is anything you can do without tearing down the transmission.

My Honda Civic A/T has problems to engage into the reverse gear

Regarding the transmission, before taking it to a
repair shop, check the transmission fluid level.
If it's OK, it could be anything from a throttle cable
or shift linkage adjustment to internal tranny problems
In you case it could be the adjustment, which is best
corrected by the dealer.

My automatic transmission in 2000 Civic EX is slipping was running fine then on the way home it started o slip going in to 2nd. It loses speed going up a hill I have parked it. Is there a adjustment to...

Check the transmission fluid level and condition of the fluid. Add Automatic Transmission Fluid as needed and do not over fill. Have the transmission line pressure tested and service the transmission. "replace the transmission oil and filter" Star with that and hope the transmission is not gone to far that you may need any other transmission. Keep me posted and shop around to find a good transmission shop.
