Isuzu kb 220 Engine cranking,it doesn't fire out what could be the problem?

are you in Africa.? Isuzu cars are dead in USA< no sales for long long time, a bakkie/???? 2002 - 7?????????
no year told either. NOT 220D
no start, cranks fast.
sure.
the kb (faster) has like 30 engines world wide and 50 model names from FASTER . but there are 2 engine used, and not told you.
2.2 L 115 hp (85 kW) C22NE / 22LE I4
Or the GM engi
ne?
so complex this the wiki can not even cover all this variances
KB 220 double cab 2005?
2.2L petrol spark engine, sure
In lyrical they call , cranking Swinging, what laugh that is.
it doesnt start cranked, and yes spark is fire as is combustion.
but spark must be good
is the cam belt old and slipped.?
GENERIC answer lacking all useful facts.

test spark first, as all PCM cut fuel is spark fails. so spark is first and you can not burn petrol (gasoline ) lacking spark
so we test spark (using test spark plug method 100 years old>?
use sprayed in intake, starting fluid (instant start in a can)
runs for 3 seconds, 3 times tried, sounds GOOD and yes now find out fuel pressure is zero cranked.
that is is a tool all shops have and use all day long.

now year car, wow

I need a wiring diagram of all the scensor's on the engine of a Isuzu KB 320 1998 petrol bakkie please? e.g. crank, cam etc.

hello,
this is a uSA forum
we dont have one KB Afican cars here,
not a single one, or a matching set of books for same reasons.
or is this car DOWN under, shrimp on the barbi and all that.
out back.
best is to post in real ISUZU forum , goggle that, there is no lack there of.
that drawing would be a PCM schematic,
not engine.
the PCM runs it. and zero here.

Isuzu 2ltr bakkie nmbr 2 and 3 no spark?

post 3, adds, no spark , 2/3 (and still no year, no country stated)
bad coil pack?
wired wrong, this pack.
no photo of the engine, nor real name of it, Petrol.
btw, we dont have "BAKKIE" here. not a single one.
nor KB trucks, either.
what spark system this car has, im clueless.
4 coils or 1 pack.? if one pack , replace all spark wires
if one pack system , if either 2/3 wire opens, both cylinders go dead. try new spark wires. high voltage,

or you measured spark wrong, on 1 pack car.
it takes 2 spark plugs do do that. 2 good plugs and 2 good wires,
#2 and #3, due to the fact they are wired, in SERIES.
see its called wasted spark system, with 1 coil pack and no distributor..
the testing is unique. on this, setup.
try new spark plugs, gapped correctly
and 4 new HV wires,
I bet its go. if not the coil pack is toasted.

I have a 1990 olds 98 regency. When u go around curves to the left it dies. Now it wont start at all. Its not the fuel,is it coil pack or in steering column

Please check for spark, injector pulse and test Crank position sensor.
1. Use a lab scope to check the square wave signals from the crankshaft sensor at the module pins G Dark Blue/White and H Light Blue/White.

2. Should produce roughly a 0-5 volt square wave. Voltage could be a little higher, depending on the brand of module.

3. If there is no signal on one of the wires, then check the wire for an open or short to ground.

4. Disconnect the crank sensor and check for power and ground to the sensor on the White/Black and Gray/Red wires.

5. Check the connections at the ignition module for being clean and tight.

6. Verify that the Pink wire at pin P is 12 volts key on and cranking. Verify the ground on pin K Black/White wire.

Misubishi galant 2001 no spark wont start

Hi Tammy, does you vehicle have any lights lit on the Dash, check engine light etc... You need to see if you have battery + voltage at the coils , an to see if the PCM is turning them on an off ! PCM - is the engine control module . An see if there is an input signal from the crankshaft position sensor . It would also be good to hook-up a scan tool to see if it can communicate with the PCM . Mite have a shorted 5volt reference circuit . Do you have 2.4 L 4 cylinder or 3.0L V-6 ? IF you have the 2.4 L 4 cylinder you need to Check for B+ on the Black/White wire at pin 4 in the connector at the ignition failure sensor with the key on. Jumper the Black/White wire at pin 4 to the wire at pin 3 at the ignition failure sensor connector. If spark is present now, replace the ignition failure sensor. Unplug the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor connector. Check for 5 volts on the Green/Red wire. Reconnect the CKP sensor connector. Check the Black wire for a good ground. Check for B+ on the Red wire. If the Green/Red wire goes higher when connected to the sensor and cranking the engine, the CKP sensor is faulty. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.

Isuzu Big Horn (Trooper) 4JX1 engine.... Vehicle would start and only idle. Some time later it failed to start.. Where do we look for the fault Checked cam sensor and crank. Still need to check ORPS. How...

Sends a signal related to the rail pressure as a voltage to the ECM. 3 wire connector :
  • Red : 5V (Feeds from ECM connector J1-4) Shared with MAP sensor, EGR pressure sensor and accellerator position sensor.(compare values from these sensors and ECM connector)
  • Black : Ground (Feeds from ECM J2-22) Shared with the same sensors mentioned above
  • White : Signal feeds to ECM connector J2-22
Low pressure will set P1194 error code. Oil rail pressure should be more than 3MPa when cranking

Also check Engine coolant temp sensor and wiring. Engine coolant to manifold temp should not differ by more than 5 deg C either way after 8 hours of no operation. I have found the same symptom on these diesels with fuel supply problems. Operate the priming pump (on top of the fuel filter) until it becomes diffycult to push down before starting or checking anything else.

My car is not getting any spark from the coil

T COULD BE YOUR CAMSHAFT SENSOR OR CRANKSHAFT SENSOR. SOMETIMESTHE TIMING CHAIN JUMPS A TOOTH AND CAUSES THIS TO HAPPEN ASWELL.

1. At the coils, check for battery voltage at the Red wires while cranking, the Black wires should be less than 0.05 volts while cranking. Pin 3 at the coils (each wire color at the #3 pin are different) using a scope watch for a 3 - 4 volt pulse signal while cranking. Red wire - battery voltage, Black wire is a ground and the White wire is the signal circuit

2. If there is no pulse signal to the power transistors, using a scanner check the POS counts (Position) should be 179 - 181 while cranking. If inconsistent, check the signal plate (flywheel/flex plate) for damaged teeth. If there is an RPM signal and the POS counts are correct, this crankshaft sensor is good.

3. On the front of the engine, mounted on the oil pan is the crankshaft sensor (REF) reference. Check the AC voltage while cranking, should be a clean sine wave that indicates the Top Dead Center (TDC) position of each piston. White and Black wires in a 2 pin connector

4. Check the Camshaft (phase) sensor AC voltage output. This sensor should also be a clean sine wave. This sensor detects cylinder number. This sensor is located in the front cover facing the cam gear. White and Black wires in a 2 pin connector.
