Isuzu kb 240 le power and idle problem

It sounds like there are multiple issues with your Isuzu KB 240 LE. A powerless engine and stalling can be caused by a number of issues, including:
  1. Fuel Delivery: If the fuel pump is not delivering enough fuel to the engine, it can cause a loss of power and stalling.
  2. Ignition System: If the spark plugs or ignition coils are not functioning properly, it can cause a loss of power and stalling.
  3. Mass Air Flow Sensor: A faulty mass air flow sensor can cause the engine to run lean, resulting in a loss of power and stalling.
  4. Vacuum Leaks: A vacuum leak can cause a loss of power and stalling.
  5. Throttle Body: A dirty or clogged throttle body can cause a loss of power and stalling.
  6. Engine Control Module: A malfunctioning engine control module can cause the engine to lose power and stall.
  7. Fuel Injection System: A clogged fuel injector or a failing fuel pressure regulator can cause the engine to lose power and stall.
It's recommended to have the vehicle professionally diagnosed to determine the root cause of the problem. The diagnostic process may involve checking the fuel and ignition systems, performing a vacuum leak test, checking the throttle body, and possibly scanning the engine control module for codes. Once the issue is identified, the necessary repairs can be made to restore proper engine performance.

I have a1999 Dodge 350 van 5.2 runs 10 minutes and shuts down.

WHAT DODGE IT IS? sure 5.2LITER ENGINE?
RAM 3500 YOU MEAN? 1500, 2500 OR 3500 VAN
5.2v8, YES. AND WAS ON ALL3 VANS. OPTED
1999.

10MINUTES NOT 10 SECONDS. STALLS.?
IF ALL OTHER ELECTRICS AND EFI ALL GO DEAD
THAT IS CALLED 12VDC SHUT DOWN.
WHAT MATTERS IS ONLY ENGINE STALLED.
BUT DASH things, DID NOT. GO DEAD.?
sure RPM guage drops to 0. sure.
but at a stall cluster lamps many glow, normal that.

BUT CAN YOU PREVENT THE STALL WITH A FAST RIGHT FOOT>????????? FIRST TEST COSTS ZERO

MOST 1999 CARS DO THAT. THat ARE OLD.
NO TUNE UP'S FOR 24 YEAR? HISTORY MATTERS.
24YEAR OLD CARS NEED.
ALL minor SPARK PARTS UPDATED.
350 V8 5.2l-V8(major is distributor,do not remove it until asked how or make this x10 worse.

WHEN DID IT LAST RUN GREAT, LAST DECADE OR? HISTORY MATTERS.
HAS A DISTRIBUTOR, yes. (no cop coils)
Try cap /rotor/wireset v8 and 8 new spark plugs gaped to spec.(the classic turn up and add filters)

thermostat bad? none lasted 24 years. ever.
scan tool OBD2 uSA shows no DTC errors?

ECT bad or unplugged. sensor. scans show this always if bad. no exceptions back to first EFI made.
injectors bad, leaking or not balanced(a test using a hand gauge PSI fuel;)
bad fuel
or previous bad fuel logged the filter and all injectors up badly.

find this car dead? or just happened or died 10 years ago,. history sure does matter on all cars.
even service record history.

DTC P1599 Engine Stall or Near Stall Detected

Circuit Description
The diagnostic test checks for an engine stall or near stall and sets DTC P1599 if a stall condition is detected. A partial start where engine RPM exceeds 400 RPM and the engine does not start, will also cause DTC P1599 to set. This DTC is designed to capture snapshot data of the stall condition.

Since many things can cause a stalling condition use the snapshot taken of DTC P1599 to compare the values taken when the DTC set to the Typical Scan Data Value table. Look for conditions that could have caused the stall and how long ago the stall occurred.

3
Are any other DTCs set?
--
YES - Go to DTCs that are set
NO - Go to Step 4
4
Using a scan tool locate the Stall Data. This is the snapshot taken when the vehicle stalled and is not located with the Failure Records.
Check the MAP sensor display taken at the time this DTC was set.
Is the display more than the value specified?
95 kPa
YES - Go to Step 5
NO - Refer to Hesitation, Sag, Stumble diagnosis chart
5
One or more of the following systems may have caused the stalling condition.
ā€¢ Fuel System.
ā€¢ Idle Speed Control.
ā€¢ Emissions System.
ā€¢ Wiring and connections.
Perform Fuel System Check chart, check Test Descriptions.
Was a fault found and repaired?
--
YES - Go to Powertrain Control Module Diagnosis for Verify Repair
NO - Go to Step 6
6
Check for TCC improperly applied by a grounded TCC solenoid circuit or by transaxle hydraulic problems. Refer to Section 7 to diagnose.
Check ignition switch circuits for intermittent open to the PCM or ignition control module. Manipulate the key switch while driving to check for ignition switch intermittent or out of adjustment.
Check PCM ground and ignition control module ground.
Check for intermittent injector circuit operation.
Check the fuel PUMP ground for a loose or poor connection.
Did any of the checks above require a repair?
--
Go to Powertrain Control Module Diagnosis for Verify Repair
Refer to Diagnostic Aids

Engine stalls

Hi, car stalling problem often means the engine is not getting enough fuel and/or too much air. A cold engine needs a fairly rich fuel mixture to start, and to idle smoothly while it warms up. Any of the following could cause or contribute to this kind of stalling problem which i would not want to exaggerate until i get a clear picture of how the car stalls.

Does your engine stalls when you stop for a traffic light or when idling, or your engine just stalls unexpectedly while driving?
Answering the question will help me determine the cause of the problem.
