SOURCE: 99 Acura TL dies when I try to start

I have helped many Honda/Acura owners on this issue. Many mechanics will replace many parts prior to solving this problem, which then creates unnecessary repairs and spending. So here is my diagnosis: Notice if your speedometer drops to zero when your engine dies while driving. If this happens its your ignition switch failing. Ignition switches in Honda/Acura vehicles years 97-02 encounter faulty or shorted internal contacts. This causes premateur electrical failure to vital engine electrical parts, causing vehicle to stall intermittedly. A recall has been in place since 2002, approximately 1.3mil vehicles are affected, call your local honda/acura dealer for info and possible free repair or replace the ignition switch yourself. Hopefully my info helps you!!

SOURCE: replacing car battery 2005 acura tl

This is the security code for theft radio system; add it; the radio code generaly is in back side of the radio, or in the owners manual (last page). If you dont have anyone, need to call the Acura dealer with the VIN car number (sometimes need to pay for this service).

Hope helped (remember coment and rated this post).

Hi. I do not get any heat from my 99 Acura TL. Fan and a/c working fine.

Check coolant level in coolant reservior. Also with the engine cold, remove the radiator cap and check coolant level. it should be full.
If you fluid levels are full have your mechanic check your heater control valve. It may need replacing.

Drivers seat heater, sideview mirror switch

The wires in the seat heater will burn out if they are left on HI for too long. You can take the seat out of the car, remove the seat covering, and solder some new wires in place of the fried ones. Then put it all back together and hope you don't get a shock in your **** when you flip the switch for the first time. I just did this to my 2000 TL today and it took about 3 hrs to get it all worked out. For step by step instructions go to: http://joshsworld.com/cars/acura-tl-seat-heater-fix/

How to change spark plugs on 2005 acura tl

Hi,

you need a 6 inch extension, short 3/8 ratchet, 5/8 plug socket, 3/8 swivel "u" joint, (sold at sears) 8mm 1/4 drive socket deep well and 1/4 inch ratchet.

find the coil packs (6 total, three in each head.)
remove the two retaining nuts holding each coil pack using 1/4 8mm socket and ratchet.
twist the pack to break the sticking boot below.
pull up (be careful to not rip the boots however it may still happen but rare.)
remove coil packs, the rear is a little more difficult with the intake.
use 6" extension and u joint and ratchet to remove plugs and replace.
reverse order to assemble. Good luck, and hoped this helped.
