Had the cam shaft sensor replaced on my 2003 Intrepid...clicking noise when attempting to start after a few attempts starts. Also, today the speedometer did not work and dash lights were losing power?

Help?

SOURCE: Starter relay clicks, engine does not start

Your problem may be a ignition switch.  This part is inside the steering column.  Your ignition key/tumbler turns this piece to start the vehicle.  I see a lot of these that go bad.  Some are easy and some aren't.  Your Chilton should tell you how to change them.

SOURCE: 2005 Dodge Stratus ? Camshaft Position Sensor causing problems (I

I had the same problem with my '05 Stratus SXT 2.4 DOHC. I've replaced the cam pos sensor and it seems to be running fine right now. On the Dodge forums a lot of the guys say that you need to replace the crank pos sensor too. I've bought one of those just in case it comes back again. Hope this helps.

With all of the low voltage problems going on here I would check the body computer. That is the only thing I can think of that would cause all of this. Some others may have suggestions on this.

Cant find the crank position sensor in 2000 alero

Check that the cam shaft is turning as it may have broken a timing belt. Run fault codes to check for cam/crank position sensor problems.

My 1998 Dodge Intrepid is starting & then stalling only after a few seconds. The engine light came on, & the code was P1391. Any ideas?

That code is indicating an intermittant crank shaft or cam shaft sensor fault. Because the engine is starting then stalling, check to see if you have spark after the stall. If spark is still present, you are probobley looking at a cam sensor circuit issue. The cam sensor controls the fuel injector pulse. If the cam sensor fails on a chrysler product, the fuel injectors will not function.

I have a 98 Intrepid with a 2.7 engine. It was driving fine on Thursday night. Went to leave for work Friday morning and it wouldn't start. So far, we have tried a new battery, had the started tested,

The 2.7 had alot of problems with the cam sensor. I would start there. Its located on the front top of the timing cover. Unplug it and see if it "Pops" attempts to start.

Code p0340 on 2000 dodge intrepid

it might be the cam shaft sensor it might be the crank shaft sensor the best thing to do is replace them bolth. but it does sound like it may be either one because if one goes out the other will still work but when starting the car it will take longer for it to read from either or the one sensor that is still working because they work together to tell the system to deliver the gas. im pretty positive that it is either the cam or crank shaft sensor

This sounds like a problem with the fuel pump relay. Go into your under-hood fuse box and find the relay that operates the fuel pump. Switch it with another relay that is similar, and see if you still have the same trouble with the vehicle.

After a while, the electrical contacts inside of the relay tend to foul up from use. This same thing recently happened on my friends' 2003 Saturn Vue.

MX5 2003 1.8s Runs well but sometimes won't start. Not fuel starvation, feels like electrical. Turns over well then fires and stalls, may take another 5 attempts to get it to start. Never misses a beat...

Wish I could help!! My MX 5 has the same problem!! Tries to fire as soon as I turn the key, misses, then just cranks. This was a random occurrence until last week, then it decided it was not going to start at all. It will start fine with a push, then problem disappears again for a few days!! All I can think it is either a. coil pack, b. cam position sensor, or c. a relay somewhere in ignition or fuel system that is opening/closing to prevent engine running.....HELP!
