My interior dome light won't go off in my 1997 Chevy lumina please help!! Don't want my battery to go dead :(

Disconnect your battery or remove the dome light bulb. Either there is a switch at the light that you hit and made it stay on or the door switch is broken.

check your battery connections at the battery and where the negative cable connects to the frame.. does any accessories come on .. dome light, idiot lights on dash? door chime? if so when you attempt to start the car does it click.. grind.. if dome lights are on before are the dimmer or off after you attempt to start?

your door pin switch is most likely bad. it is what turns it on and off.
