the CVT transmission should not need service until 100k miles.

Additionally Nissan extended the service of all Muranos with CVT transmissiont to 120k miles.

hello. with a new filter, add 4 1/4 quarts of oil, US measure. The type is any good quality oil, API grade SG/SH. Go to page 249 in your owner manual for more details, here is the manual in case you do not have one http://www.courtesyparts.com/pdf/2004-Nissan-Murano.pdf

If it is an automatic transmission the gearbox is not taking up correctly (ie instead of the fluid clutch allowing the engine to turn then take up the drive as you accelerate it is coming in hard at once)

If it is a manual shift the gearbox has seized up

press maintanence button until you see engine oil, then hold trip/reset button... :)

Adhesive is available @ most auto parts stores. I believe it is a Loctite product (or equivilent). Just ask a salesperson and they should be able to help you, good luck.
