The manual crank has a u shaped clip that holds it in place to the crank pulley. U may need a special tool to open the clip and slide it off so you can remove the handle.

SOURCE: hyundai accent '02 inside door handle & Lock removal

Removing the door is very tricky, trust me on this. I ended up breaking it the first time, so please learn from my mistake.

1. Remove all visible screws: 2 at bottom of door, 3 on front near hinge, 1 on inside the door lever. You will need an average size phillips screwdriver to do this.

2. On the door handle itself, you will see two circles. Pop the front one out. You will need a LARGE size phillips screwdriver to do this.

3. Once screws are removed, take a (standard) flat-head screwdriver, preferable one with a large face, and pry the triangular piece of plastic (that covers the outside SIDE mirror) off. This will aide in puting the door panel back on...TRUST ME!!!

4. Take the same flat-head screwdriver, and pry behind the door lock (at the same time, push forward toward the door hinge). The assembly should pop out.

5. Gently pry the door panel from the door, making sure not to break any unnecessary pieces along the way. The door panel should be hanging by the window sill opening.

6. This is where it will get tricky. It is advised that you use help with this part: Angle the door panel at a 45 degree angle. AT THE SAME TIME, slightly bend and twist the door lock handle until it fits through the hole. You will see the 3 pegs the held it in the door from before. Also note: Be careful not to break the 2 poles that are attached to the lock.

7. After popping the lock through the hole, you should be able to lift the door upward, and off the sill. Repeat these steps in reverse order to re-attach door panel.

Be careful not to rip sound-deadening paper found on inside of door unless you intend to remove or replace it! Not only does it prevent dirt and moisture from entering your door (and possible rusting it from the inside out), but it makes your speakers sound better too!

**It is also recommended to put a tiny bead of silicone on the inside of the door panel to help suppress any rattling, and prevent moisture and dust from entering. It also helps your screws obtain a tighter fit. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Removing door panel of manual crank 2000 VW Beetle

Your window crank is held on by a clip at the base of the crank handle. You need a small hook (kind of like a knitting needle) to get behind the base and pull the clip off of the crank.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

There is always some way to get to the screws. So if they are not obvious you need to look for circles that can pop off with a screw driver or hidden places like under the handle or in the side pocket or even the outter edge when you open the door.

Remove front door panel

simple really: locate window crank handle if equipped (non power) gently pry out plug from center use torx driver to remove bolt from center , use same driver to remove bolt from door handle well , and behind door handle (inside) then panel should be loose and lifting up (off lock pin) should move out enough to access plug (if power window equipped) if not panel should lift straight up . and off , mind the clips that are located all four corners (keep them) this should allow you to see the inside of door (plastic covering ) and see what the cause of window off track is , most times its cause is a door drain clogg and now rust has broken off the front mount point of glass rail

All doors open besides drivers it lock me in have to climb over seat to passengers n windor off track but there's power to open windor butglass off track

A rod connects the inner door handle to the lock mechanism. Possibly the window off track damaged the rod or knocked it off where it attaches to the lock or the handle. To check this you must remove the inner door panel. I suggest you check "you tube" to see if there are any vids on the procedure.. if not go purchase the Chilton manual or take the car to a serviice center. It will be at lease 2 hours of labor + any needed parts. the window can be repaired at the same time since the inner panel will be removed.

My 2002 Toyota camry drivers side window is off track when it's rolled up. Water leaks in and when your driving there is wind noise

You may have to review notes on how to remove the drivers side panel and replace one of the broken screws that hold the glass in place on the bottom rail. I believe the cause my be that and if not it may be a sticky guide rail. Try rubbing some furniture polish on the edge of the glass that sticks (usually to opposite side of the one that does not match the door). This may help to get the glass sliding smoothly again.

I have a Isuzu Rodea 2002. My driver side window wont roll up. Its a manual window. and when i start to roll it up it gets difficult half way up and acts like it might snap. but when i roll it down its...

sounds like it is off track, you will need to remove the door panel, screws in the arm rests, one on the crank or a snap ring, and possible one in the inner middle of the door panel, once all screws and crank are off/out the take a flat tip screw driver and work around the outer of the door panel as there are like 10 plastic clips on the inside of the panel, once panel is off inspect the regulator, this is attached to the window crank, make sure the cable is not frayed or broken if so then you will need a new regulator. Hope this helps Tim

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry. The back, driver side window slides down on its own. Had someone to brace it in the up position so it wouldn't slide down. How can this be repaired? Thanks.

glass has gotten out of the window regulator track or a broken window regulator. have to remove door panel and now need to know if its power windows or hand rollup windows. if manual you will need to remove handle by removing c-clip from behind the handle.

97 venture van. Manual front door window cranks up crooked.I have to pull it up straight by hand while cranking! is there a repair? I have the panel off already. Thanks a bunch:)

Your window track could be loose or misaligned. You have the panel off already so that's good, crank the window up and down and look at the window going up and down the side tracks and look for any broken, loose or misaligned window track. If the track's are broken or worn, replace them and realign the tracks if needed. Good luck and hope this helps.

It is not a fuse. All of the windows are on thje same circuit. You either have a bad window motor, or a bad driver side door master window cantrol switch.
