Now the vehicle will start okay but driving it there is no power and bad missing. The Autolite plugs are a Platinum tip and the Champion are the Copper type. The vehicle runs okay on the Autolite plugs and I am wondering if possibly the spark control is the problem? Or the champion plugs I got are bad?
I believe the factory originals are champion brand, and would have been platinum, but it should still run decent with the coppers. The only thing I can think of is they are of the wrong gap. Copper plugs do not come pre- gapped at all and need to be done by installer. The gap for your stratus, if it's a 4 cylinder is .050. Wrong gap will cause no power and shaking. Correct champion number in copper is #443, and should say that on the box/plug.

I do not see #443 on the box but the plug #is RE14MCC5 which opps I think is not right. I will check the # under the hood in engine compartment again I think it is suppose to be 15. The box has #440 oh no I messed up I think. Got them at the dealer where I work the parts guy let me pick them from a draw maybe I grabbed the wrong ones. Thanks for the heads up.
It is possible that the number on the plug is different than what is on the box, but it's rare. As long as the box says the right number it will be fine, but make sure they are gapped correctly. The original factory correct spark plug number and brand should be on the vehicle emission control label. That is the guaranteed best plug for your car.
