This is a vent for the axle. It will go up to frame to keep water out. Just replace with a vaccuume line and run up to frame. Make sure to leave some slack for suspention travel and bend over at the top ove line so as to not fill with water from driving in rain or crossing creeks

Sounds like the wheel bearing or an axle grinding when I drive but I have new wheel bearings. Only when it's driving. Any ideas?

Did you check to see if inside bearings where good and have you checked oil in rearend. Also could be punkin.

How do you remove the rear axle on a dodge ram 1500 p-up 2 wheel drive?

1st jack and use jack stands to safely lift the truck.disconnect brake lines and cables, remove tires, unbolt universal rear end to driveshaft, unbolt center bolts from axle to leaf springs, pull the rear end out from the side-much easier with two people. reverse process to put the new one on. I assume when you say axle you mean entire rear end. If you need to remove one axle side just take off tire and brake then remove rear end punkin cover and pull shear pin to remove your ring gear and planetary gear-pull axle shaft.

A vacuum hose that comes off the front axle motor fell down and i dont know where it goes

? front axle motor?
Most hoses off an axle are just vent tubes.
First is there sucksion at this hose?
Second follow the hose and see where the other end goes.

Will not switch into 4 wheel drive

there is a vaccum actuator on some of the blazers it will be on the front punkin, if the vac hose is unhooked, or has a hole in it, it will not go in 4 wheel drive.

2005 single axle F-350

Yes you will need to pull the axle to get that seal out. You will need to pull tire open punkin or gear case there will be a C clip holding the axle inplace pull this out and very carefully slide the axle out the seal is in the axle housing

Need to pulling out axle 05 chery pickup

You would be better off buying a Chilton or Haynes manual with the different rear ends avalible. You will first need to remove the punkin cover. Then remove the pinion shaft lock bolt. Then remove the pinion shaft. It will be the 3/4" shaft that goes all the way thru the cluster. This will allow you to push the axle in and remove the C-Retainer.Once you remove the retainer you will be able to remove the axle shaft.Mark the position of the axle before removing, and after removed do not turn the cluster.Make sure when reinstalling the C retainer it goes straight back and not sideways.Well hope this helps, and good luck.

How do you change the bearings on the rear axle of a f150 Ford pickup? And does my year model require the bearings to be pressed on?

you have to block up the rear end then pull the cover off the rear end then pull tires and drums off then
go to the punkin and pull the center pin out its a 5/16 or 8mm bolt out slid the pin out then push axles in take the C-clips out then pull axles out
you will need a axle slide hammer to get the bearing out and
then tap the new one in just far enough to get the cyl. in
then put all back to gether

4wd problem

Did you make sure the transfer case is engaging? Have someone put it in 4wd and look at the front drive shaft see if its turning. If so that means the vaccum switch is either not engaging the lever on the axle hub. Make sure the lever on the axle punkin or gear hub is not sticking. Also check the linkage under the truck.
