I'm trying to locate the fuse for my 2008 VW EOS Hardtop convertible that actually is for the convertible operation

most fuse boxes are located either on the pass. side dashboard (near the door or by the center console) also driver side under dash or by right leg. also check under the hood for a black plastic box. then take the cover off. it should be labeled.

The fuse panel on 2002 VW Beetle is located behind a plastic cover on the driver's side end panel of the dashboard, door open. See pictures below:
