First step is to get a workshop manual for the vehicle
next is to disconnect the battery
remove the transmission
replace the clutch as a kit including throwout bearing
make sure that the clutch plate is in the correct way around or you will be repeating the job
replace the transmission
the full procedure with steps and photos are in the workshop manual
there is more..
inspections,plenty, that is not covered in SM
only engine builders books cover all that.
or better yet, seeing every-type failure.

and the T/O fork, lever, 1 to 4 ways to fail
all obvious as h3ll some have spring there that can fail, look for damage
see cars missing parts here. (forkwise or HACKED)
or wrong clutch there, (trash it all)
the slave is bad, oops clutch good.

the DISC can crack or shatter and wreck
any flywheel ! done that many a time.
the pilot bearing can go bad things!to fly.
in this case its bushing, so less bad.
IM SURE I MISSED SOMETHING.
seen cracked bell.
or missing bell key guide pins, cause misalignment.
seen omg, ring gear,is useless. or near.
or omg, rear engine seal is a Mississippi river flood of oil. or installed wrong ,canted or backwards.(or just wrong/bad)

On all Trooper II models the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank, fuel tank must be removed to access.

It is a programable key and they keep security pretty tight. You will need to call a dealer close to you and provide some documention or just have them trace your key while your there.

must remove clips from inside front axle housing!! If the cv joint aint broke DONT FIX IT the boots can be replaced in less than 1 hour with hand tools and the boot is around 20$ at any parts store
