Van shaking

Have the engine mounts checked. If the van runs OK, and it idles OK except for shaking at idle, it may be loose or broken engine mounts.

Car shakes when idling'

Well this could be caused by a number of things. But the most common cause is an "engine miss." You could have 1 cylinder that has stopped firing. This will cause a very rough idle and very possibly shake or shudder whenever you accelerate. Another cause may be a main "vacuum hose could be disconnected" from it's port. Vacuum leaks cause engine shake at idle. Check for loose, cracked, or disconnected vacuum hoses under the hood. The third and least likely cause is a "broken or worn motor mount". If the engine is not securely held down in place by all the motor mounts, it will vibrate excessively and cause a shake at idle. The engine miss and motor mount problems are 2 issues best left to a professional to tackle. But as I said, you could tackle the vacuum leak issue yourself by checking under the hood. Hope this helps, good luck!

After the engine start running for sometime it starts shaking.

hi this could be a few things, i would check your idle as a very low idle will cause engine shaking when the engine is near stalling, idle should be around 700rpm approx when warm. If that checks out all good check the leads and that one is not getting worn and causing a misfire or a vaccum hose is not off, both will cause similar problem. The last thing i can think of is a broken engine mount causing problem as when motor idles or runs at a certain rpm it will shake harder and may be the cause aswell

I have a 1994 with vortec 4.3 that shakes sometimes

Shakes how? While stopping? Or solely while idle, Engine light on?

If if shakes while stopping you need to check you're wheel hubs and or Suspension ,

Shakes at a light, You may have a bad fuel Injector, Check you're psi in you're fuel pump, A TPS would cause low idle or sometimes high idle, With low idle and a bad motor mount it would shake,

I know theres a few things I'm missing but,.. I have a major Headache atm so I'll get back to you with some more, when i can think better. :)

1999 nissan frontier is idling rough the truck shakes but shaking stops when the air is turned on. changed oil, spark plugs, spark plug wires and distributor cap.

This can be your Idle control valve, when you turn the air on it puts the engine under load and your computer will increase the idle automatically to prevent the engine from cutting out.
When you are standing still and the car is shaking, by touching the accelerator very softly does the shaking stop? If so check the idle control valve.
I hope this will help.

Engine idling varies depending on light or aircon is on/off

dude its normal for first start or cold start that the idle is ok but it must high than normal... its normal because the engine is warming up it self... when it gets warm, the idle speed will return normal idle... your engine is 1200cc, it has not much HP for a great load... and i know its a carburatored engine and its an old engine, your head lyt and a/c fan and aux fan and all the electrical system on your car, uses the HP of you engine and its a lot of load to the alternator driven by the engine to generate an electricity they need and thats why the engine rpm speed lowering down to dead and its shake. thats why when you use your lyts or all electrical, you engine is weakening... the best remede is adjusting you idle speed... its located behind the carburator.. its a small black knob.. just make a twist each eighter way and you'll find out if your idle rpm speed ts incresing or decresing.. just increase it and try opening your lyts and other electrical, if its still shaking then adjust it a little more
