Need to know what else is on fuse 17 2000 intreped

If your turn signals also don't work it's probably the flasher relay. If turn signals work check the flasher fuse. It may have blown again.

If the Eagle is 2 wheel drive try to determine if it has a 41te or 42te transmission. These can be interchanged by a knowledgeable mechanic assuming your vehicle is compatible. Many times these transmissions are referred to as a 604 or 606 respectively. The weak link in the 604 is it's output shaft splines.

noexprea, You will find that relay in the engine compartment fuse box. Sometimes there will be two relays, one for high fan and one for low fan. Read the legend on the cover to determine which relay to remove. Good luck with this.

You have a immobilizer in the ignition you will need to have it scanned to the key...Some mobile locksmiths can do this.

There is a fuse box on the drivers side of the car near the battery. Remove the cover by pushing down on the clip on the engine side of the box. The lid should have the locations of each Relay. They are all the same part, just in different locations.

I have a pick of the fuse box, the one I made red is the fuse your looking for, if that does not do it then it could be the switch or the body control module.

open the fuse box usualy located at the underside of drivers dash board. if its not there, see under the bonnet. its usually located near the headlights

code 12= battery has been disconnected at some point of time, code 12 should be there then others but when you see code 55 then you know theres no more codes stored bec code 55=end of cycle so try to reset the codes by detatching your battery terminal for at least three minutes and reattch. Check and see if you are getting anymore codes

I HAVE A 98 INTREPID AND I WENT TO A JUNK YARD AND JUST PULLED THE PASSENGER SWITCH OUT OF THE DOOR AND UNHOOK.WIRES....VERY EASY....PUT IN YOUR CAR AND THAT SHOULD WORK...ITS PRYS OUT OR PULL OUT WITH PLYERS....THESE SWITCHES CONNECT LIKE A CIRCUIT AND IF PASSENGER DOOR SWITCH IS BAD IT WILL NOT WORK FROM DRIVERS OR PASSENGER SIDE...98 TO 2000 ARE ALL THE SAME PARTS....HOPE THIS HELPS.....

You'll want to check the coil packs on the engine by disconnecting them, one at a time, and temporarily replacing the fuse with a circuit breaker of the same rating. Try starting the engine with one coil disconnected (leave it on the engine, but disconnect the wire). If it stays running (though poorly) with a coil diconnected without tripping the breaker, you've found the bad coil and you can replace it easily.
Other than this, take the car into a competent mechanic to diagnose as many electrical issues involve sensitive electronic parts.
