My 1997 Toyota camry sunroof won't close

There can be several reasons to why it won't close:
- The sunroof may need to be re-initialized. That is just a sequence of moonroof button pushes. Refer to the manual for the instructions, or a Toyota dealer.
- The fuse box might be blown out. There is a fuse box under the left side of the dash. Look inside the cover and you'll see each fuse is labeled according to its purpose. If you don't see a fuse labeled sun or moon roof (or similar) there are a couple of options. 1. The same fuse is shared by power windows (in which case your electric windows won't operate when the fuse is blown). 2. If you have a later model Camry, there's a second fuse/breaker box under the hood. As above, check inside the lid for a map of the fuses/breakers.
- The sunroof motor might be faulty. In this case you may want to get an auto-electrician to have a look at it.

Moonroof wont close on my 1998 toyota camry. i never use it i got off work one day and as i was drivin i heard the air comin in and it was sunk down and i couldnt get it to close.

i also had a challenge with a Honda sunroof. One side lower than the other and it was stuck. Dealer wanted $1500 to replace. I took it to a upholstery shop. The shop offered a repair for $250, but got it shut for me for $85. You might try a upholstery shop.

If motor is still working you have a broken cable it is a big job have to take out headliner to drop out whole sunroof ***. to change cable.

My power windows and sunroof and power locks quit working

use this link. I used it for my 96 camry to replace the fuse. It worked great. My windows and lock quit. I dont have a sunroof. I replaced the fuse and it was fairly easy even though it is hidden. It took me about 25 minutes to do it all. Hope this help!

95 Toyota Camry power window fuse keeps blowing

the window switch is stuck even if you work it with your finger and it doenst feel stuck the brass contactes are welded together on the in side of the switch try a new switch or take the one you have apart ... becarefull thu lots of springs and some sall parts inside
