2002 Chrysler Voyager 3.3. Transmission won't shift gears from drive?

Question edited for clarity. 'year make model' first, 'want' and 'won't' are not interchangeable words. 'won't' = 'will not'.

Your speed sensor might be hanging up.when you changed the trans oil and filter did your old oil smell burnt, and make sure you put the right fluid init.If your oil is burnt looks like you have a big job ahead of you.

Gear box oil

my granddad has a voyager LX CRD, he has problems with getting the car into gear, as he says if you are lazy (cutting corners on the gearbox) it won't go into gear. we checked the gearbox oil and it was low and also it seemed that it was transmission fluid (for an automatic car) ALTHOUGH my granddads car was a manual. this is the one thing that chrysler don't come first for - Manual Cars
hope i helped you

Very slow to kick in to reverse, first and second gears accompanied by high revving sound. Not a smooth transition to other gears as well. High revving until going. Very high fuel consumption as well. Once...

it sounds like your transmission is slipping. they make this chemical you can get at a part store, its a transmission stabalizer. it should help with the grinding noise and transitions to the other gears. also give your truck a complete tune up (oil change, fuel and air filters, spark plugs etc.) it should help with the fuel consumptions.

I have a 2000 chrysler voyager, it has difficulty shifting into gears, meaning it will shift into all gears sometimes you have to give it a lil gas or take your foot off the gas pedal when it starts...

change both the fluid and replace the filter. it osunds like your modulator may be going bad but that would be a lot of money. i hope that's not it.

I have a 1997 UK chrysler voyager.

Hi, should be straight forward it sounds like you have a faulty speedo sender unit in the gearbox or possibly just a bad conection if in doubt take to an auto electrician with diagnostic capabilities he should find it quite quickly.
