I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Recently the wiper fuse started blowing. The Fuse keeps blowing as soon as the ignition is turned on.

Usually I would change it after a day or two and it would work, but the other day it stopped mid cycle and now I can't get a fuse to work. As soon as I change the fuse and turn on the ignition, the fuse blows. Any ideas on what I could check? I did disconnect the wiper motor and tested. The fuse still blows when the ignition is turned on.

Could be a short circuit on ignition wires or a broken ignition switch. Or a short circuit on starter wires or inside the starter motor itself.

KEEP BLOWING THE FUSE AS SOON AS IT IS ENTERED IN THE FUSE BOX.

If you can pull the plug from the wiper motor and try fuse. If no change disconnect the plug to the electric windows and try fuse. Unlikly to be in dome light circut unless you have had aftermarket sterio system or other accessory fitted recently

The Wiper fuse keeps blowing? Any Ideas?

Does the fuse blow as soon as you turn on the switch? Or do the wipers operate for a bit then the fuse blows? Will the wipers work in intermittent mode? Can you move the wipers by hand? Unless other wiring work has been done (eg radio replaced) I suspect the wiper motor is toast.

Have an auto electrician look at it.

I had the same problem just last week. It turned out to be the idle regulator. Every time the IR got hot it would blow the fuse. You can drive the car without it attached but get it fixed asap. Got one for $40 from a spare parts place ($200 brand new) and my mechanic mate changed it for me (looked easy enough to do it yourself). Good luck.

When key is turned to on position, keeps blowing 30 amp fuse

It sounds like you have a short in some wiresets. Check the wires directly connected to the ignition. If this persists, without any problems with wires, I suggest checking the amperage and voltage on your battery to make sure they are at operational levels. Anything over 14.8 volts and you start to fry electrical components and... blow fuses.

2001 sonata wiper fuse keeps blowing

If the fuse blows as soon as you put it in and the wipers are off then you have a short between the fuse block and the wiper switch.

If the fuse blows only when you turn the wipers on then more than likely the wiper motor has shorted and burned out. This one is very likely if the snow storm was heavy and you was driving in it. Cause- Moving large amounts of snow and ice off the window puts a heavy load on the wiper motors.

On top of the cover of the fuses it will tell you what that fuse was for. Odds are whatever it is, is shorting out and will need to be replaced.
