If there's no spark or the spark is weak, check the resistance of the wire that connects the ignition coil to the distributor cap. Consult the wire resistance specifications in your repair manual. If resistance is within specifications, continue with the next steps; otherwise, replace the wire and test for spark again.
Why did it catch fire ? what did you hook up wrong ? Ignition switch is a input to the BCM - body control module , before you fry the BCM ,do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop.
Sounds like you have a wiring problem, check the plug connector and wiring that plugs into the ignition switch, look for discoloration or signs of over heating or melting, if ok , unplug the connector from the ignition switch and with 2 jumper wires you can hot wire you car, and test if it stays running, jump the hot wire to the coil wire, and jump the hot wire from the starter to ground until it starts up.
You have power energizing the starter solenoid. You need to disconnect the small wire with the female connector and trace it back to the ignition switch. You either have a a bad wire or wires or a bad ignition switch. You need to isolate the wire and see if it has power when it is disconnected from the ignition switch
Sounds like you have the starter wires hooked up wrong and to continuous power. If starter shuts off with the key now, but wont engage the motor, you may need shims so that the starter drive lines up with the motors fly wheel
General anti-theft devices are connected with the original car ignition switch wiring harness on the firing line first connected to the anti-theft device, drawing a line of fire from the anti-theft device into the ignition switch. You can the combination switch the first guard removed, and then find the ignition switch, disconnect the two lines you will be connected with the anti-theft device, FireWire directly to the original vehicle wiring harness plug connected to the ignition switch on, you can normally start.
It's either your ignition switch or ignition switch wiring, lines for the starter relay is short circuited at some point and it keeps the starter running, ALSO it might be a stuck starter relay, so it helps changing the starter relay first and then if the problem still exists have the ignition wiring and ignition switch checked.
Hope it helps and comment if you need more advice.

check for power to the coil, if there is no power...its a possible ignition switch failure. The ignition switches in these models have defective internal contacts, resulting in power loss to vital electrical components. You may check the ignition switch by removing the plastic cover around the steering column. Its a white round plastic unit with wires coming out, and located behind the key cylinder. Inspect for internal archs or black/burnt residue. Call you local Honda dealer for recall info, they will need your vin#...Hopefully this helps
check your wiring plug attached to your ignitio switch could be an adjustment or need replacing failing that you may need to replace your ignition switch
