My battery is dead on my 2011 jaguar xjl and i can't open the trunk

It has a speed limiter on it because the tyres are not rated for its top speed. I wonder if that is what the 'L' stands for?

What it shows on the display of player...? If rafio works well ? Or totally dead? If so chk the fuse for radio in the Fusebox. If radio works good displays okay sound okay just cd does not move when inserted needs cleaning of the cd player inside.

I'm assuming no key for trunk. Simply connect z jumper pack to the battery cables. Then use the button in vehicle to open trunk. You might be able to access trunk from backseat of vehicle.

If that does not work ... there might be a way to hook up a temporary 12VDC power source to the car via the cigarette lighter fixture (no guarantees there) ... or at last resort figuring out how to get the back seat out to get to the trunk. Have you called your local dealership for ideas?

There are actually some pretty nice tools to check every fuse in your car... EASILY.

(registration required ... bbbind.com bottom).

As for me
I recommend & own the entire set of FACTORY MANUALS for my '95 XJS... & love them (paper: pricy tho).

Many of your vehicles systems operate on reverse polarity...Your major components, alternator starter motor & solenoids, relays should have survived without issue... If there are POLAR capacitors (not placed behind rectifiers as in reduced voltage (most on-board electrics should have survived))...

In-protected POLAR CAPs will have self destructed
(NOT common... if at all).

If you offended anything else there are some major FUSES
(see below) to keep the battery from blowing up and you car fires to a minimum. If you buy them SINGULARLY... they will be quite EXPENSIVE (Check out AMAZON & eBay for kits and tools
(below)

Not quite 20 years before your car JAGUAR & Ford got together and pretty well combed the LUCAS effect out of the product line.

Is it possible to open the hood?
If so, you should be able to attach jumper cables (Alternator or Relay?) to get the switches powered up. I'm assuming the trunk latch is electrical.
