SOURCE: 93 chevy g20 van

More than likely it's the distributor. They have a tendency to build up corrosion and rust and have personally went through the same situation three weeks ago on a suburban. Check to see if you are getting spark from the distributor first. Have the ecm in the distributor checked at Oriellys for free. It's under the rotor and has two 8mm head bolts with wires plugged in at each end.

Do you know the firing order and #1 cyl. on the cap for a 1993 chevy lumina apv van 3.1 eng.

The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6.
When looking at the front of the van, #1 is on the left towards the rear. #2 is on the left towards the front, #3 is in the middle rear, and so on. The distributor rotates clockwise
If #1 terminal is not marked on the distributor, rotate the engine to the timing mark for TDC. At this place, the rotor will point to either #1 or #4. You can assume it's #1 and wire it up. If you're wrong, the engine will not start as all plugs will fire on the exhaust stroke and no harm will be done either. If that os the case, you know you just have to rotate all the wires 3 places.

I need a list of the parts need to turn up the chevy Lumins Van.

Tune up should include.Plugs, distributor cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter,if plug wires have never been replaced then replace plug wires, pcv valve.Use good name brand parts.Don`t get cheap stuff.Make sure and gap the plugs. The specs.decal should be under the hood or on the hood itself. The plug gap is .045.Also use die electric grease on plug wires. It is usually supplied with wires.Hope this helps.Good luck.

1990 chevy lumina apv - pickup coil -runs ok 15 mi & stalls

I'm assuming you have the distributor out? You will need to, as the shaft has a gear on the bottom end that has a roll pin. Make sure ALL is marked so that you re-assemble it the same way. You also need to mark the rotor position, and the base of the distributor so you can put it back where it was, or you will have to re-align and time everything!

No spark on an apv chevy lumina with 3.1 liter engine

autozone will check your ignition module free if you bring it in. If it's a 3.1, you may need the coil under the distributor cap too.
