The clutch is hydraulically activated and it is not adjustable as it is self adjusting, if the pedal is hard or engages way high in the travel or it slips you need a new clutch assembly.

SOURCE: REPLACE CLUTCH....IF IT'S SLIPING OR IT JUST NEEDS ADJUSTING?

I think your best option is to ask if the owner will bring it to a shop of your choice to have it thoroughly inspected. An honest approach is always the best for all parties involved. Depending where you are purchasing a car, a 98 legacy with a manual gearbox is much more rare than an automatic. Use your mechanic's report as a basis for negotiation if this is the car you really want to purchase. The clutch parts will alone cost $300 and plan on an additional $100 to machine the flywheel. This, with anything else a trusted eye sees in need of repair, is the wisest way to move forward. Good luck.

SOURCE: 2001 Chrysler Voyager - A/C won't engage

This definately sounds like the clutch cycling switch or the low pressure switch is bad. You just simply evacuate the system, screw off the old and screw on the new and then evacuate and recharge the system. This should get you fixed. You might also want to check and make sure that you have enough refirgerant in the system. If there is not enough then this switch will not allow power to flow to the clutch to prevent any damage to the compressor from there not being enough oil in the system.

SOURCE: chrysler voyager clutch judder, have replaced

you replaced a clutch and fly wheel in an automatic? Or maybe the torque converter and belts? Likely since i havent seen many of those vehicles with standards you have an automatic, sounds like you may just be low on transmission fluid, reverse is the first gear to charge hydrolics on so it would be the first to show sign, you probably have hesitation in going from reverse to drive also

Had a new clutch in chrysler voyager 2.5 td only done few thousand miles clutch bite soon as move pedal up car to get in gears have to start car in gear can feel car moving slightly

check to see if you can adjust the clutch cable and make it a little tighter. they stretch over time. The amount of play is only a 1/2 inch or so. have someone sit inside and push the clutch peddle in and out and see where it starts to move. Loosen the locking nuts and adjust thread play till the peddle engages about a inch or two from the top. Not near the floor. It is not hard to do when you look at it closely.

No reverse in my 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Check the operating cable/linkage. If its OK then its possible the reverse clutch in the trans isn't functioning. A trans shop may be able to check the pressures that operate the clutches. Its 10 years old, you don't say how many miles?

call Chrysler and see if this is a factory defect .a clutch should never wear out that fast unless you drive with your foot on the clutch peddle all the time, also the clutch might have been installed wrong or even worse not at all, isnt the work warranted?

Chrysler voyager clutch judder, have replaced clutch and flywheel but still judders mainly in reverse

You should flush the transmission out. Remember mopar uses high friction trans fluid and when this fluid gets somewhat old and looses friction then it will not operate properly.

My chrysler grand voyager won't go into gear properly and the clutch bites about an inch off the floor.can you help need advice.

You need to adjust the clutch so that there is less freeplay.
If it is cable, you just tighten the adjuster.
If it is hydraulic, you probably lengthen the master cylinder rod.
