With the light staying on the system is disabled and DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored in control module that controls this feature . EBCM - electronic brake control module . Take to a qualified repair shop as soon as possible .

My high beams won't shut off in my 2005 Mercury Mountaineer?

Remove relay #49 in the under hood power distribution box, if the lights go out then tap the relay on the ground and plug it back in, if the lights stay off then replace the relay. Attached is a link to your owners manual refer to page 182 of the pdf for the location of the high beam relay. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/04mntog3e.pdf

How do i get the advancetrac light to go off, is their a sensor or is it in the transfer case

Christina, May just be a loose Tone ring, plug/wire,wheel speed sensor, etc. You will have to take vehicle into a good shop and have scanned for diagnostic codes to determine which sensor, wire, etc is bad and causing the advance track light to display and estimate repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Check gage light is on

If you can get to an Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys parts store when this defect occurs, they will scan your car for free.

The Check light will identify some of the defects.

The advance trac and awd are not working correctly At start up my 2005 mercury mountaineer has the abs light on , after driving about 50 yards the awd lock light blinks several times then goes to awd...

You current issue is no different than any other
vehicle problem you have had since 1996 when
the OBD2 Systems came into being

You have a MIL Lamp on or check light as some people
call it

You should have checked fore codes immediately within a day
or so to at least know the codes & then googled them to get
some idea of the issues

You know that you have an ABS Braking System issue based on
your owners manual & your abiltiy to recognize Advance Trac etc

Have to have a shop diagnose that system with professional tools

With an AWD issue possible I wouldn't even use it until fixed

The trac control is ussually a bad wheel speed sensor or related
issue
