Your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop. Special tool's and knowledge are needed . Scan tools , electrical diagnostic , service information . Your vehicle has a bunch of computers (control modules) C.A.N. cantroller area network serial data communication networks . Hi speed , med. speed , low speed . The power steering is electronic ,computer controlled , sensors on the steering shaft .With those light's lit , DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored etc... Plus there is a real chance of being electrocuted. High voltage !

The torque converter clutch circuit may be at fault. The best way to determine the problem is to have a scanner/computer to read check engine codes.

SOURCE: reduced engine power on

The traction control uses the speed sensor in the transmission and the wheel speed sensors to determine wheel spin. If a wheel spins braking is applied to it so that the power can be transferred to the other wheels. At some point the ECU detected a gross disagreement between the sensors and so as a precaution has entered into a limp home mode. On some systems if the fault is in error it can be cleared by putting the car into drive and moving forward a meter, putting in reverse and going a back a meter and doing this three times. If one or other of the sensors are faulty this process will not allow the error to be cleared. You need to check or have checked the error codes and the speed sensors.

SOURCE: Traction control light on and engine power reduced

you could have a stuck switch .....check your traction control switch on your dashboard....engage and disengage it , while paying attention to the rpms...notice any change...if you do notice a change, then replace the switch....if no change, it is probably on the trans itself and should not be a dealer only fix....your local reliable trans shop should be able to fix you up without emptying your entire wallet.

SOURCE: Tow messages appear on the dash board: Service traction control and Engine power reduced. When this happen I can feel the shift in the transmission when I'm driving. After a while these messages d

Pretty much tells you the system with the fault

Traction Control is embedded into the abs braking
system, so diagnose that using the codes you have,
same as any other obd codes you get

The Reduced Power could be another problem & it
cuts off fuel injectors to save the exhaust converter
from overheating & being ruined

2012 Buick Enclave, dash reads Traction control off, service stabilitrak. Engine power reduced... why????

Engine power reduced... is the main problem ,this turned off Traction control off, service stabilitrak. Your vehicle has electronic throttle control , The Gas pedal has sensors inside which are connected by electrical circuits to the PCM - engine computer ,the PCM use's these inputs to control the throttle plate by use of a 12 volt DC motor . Plus there are position sensors on the throttle body for feed back to the PCM. When one of these signals is off The PCM will put the system into reduced power mode . This will also set DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

My 2005 Malibu is displaying reduced engine power on the dash I had auto zone to test it gave a code of throttle body actuator is this the same as throttle body housing

Pretty much, the throttle body actuator is the small motor that opens and shuts the throttle blade and is serviced in the housing assembly.

Engine power reduced, service traction

when you have the fault codes read to find the exact sensor failure or cause , have it fixed then reset the ecm as the ecm will reduce the performance(limp mode) for safety reasons

Chevy HHR 2008 LT 2.4. Message ESC OFF, SERVICE TRACTION, and ENG PWR REDUCED. What to do? Can I drive car whit this problem.

Hello and welcome. the engine reduce power waraning is the key to the other problems. this is normally a problem with the electronic throttle system. the engine control module disables the traction control system when it detects a engine problem, in your case a problem with the electronic throttle system. you shouldnt drive with this concern. this is normally covered under the vehicles 100,000 mile warranty. you need to conteact your nearest dealer for help

Car is in "limp home" - reduced engine power mode

check and see if the traction control light, abs light are on the dash. those things can put your car in a reduction mode, because the computer thinks you are on a skid
