Check your "engine oil switch" I was having some brake lines done at the shop and the mech told me it needs to be replaced. I checked my oil about a hundred miles after the last oil change and I lost about a quart. I supposed its leaking there at my switch. I'm not sure where it's located yet, but it's on my "to-do list"

Would recommend to steam clean complete engine compartment, to include the bottom.

Next, top your fluids and place clean towels or rags. Start your car until leak is present. With flash light Che k where from. If fluid is redesh in color, it's transmission fluid. If it's dark brown or black, engine oil.

Check bottom of oil and transmission pans for possible cracks or damage.

2006 passat 2.0t just replaced the Sparks and oil leak in2 places were done by vw dealer and dropped a pan changed the oil 2weeks ago now Im losin oil and every other day a cloud of white smoke with smell...

Valve seals. When you shut the car off overnight, the oil leaks past the seals into the cylinders. When you start it, it burns that oil and smokes for a minute( actually it smoke all the time, just not as bad at startup).

Oil linking by oil filter

The pressure relief valve is built into the oil pump. What you must do is have the area around the leak cleaned of all oil and dirt, then get under the car and try to see when the oil leaks where it seems to come from, I think the sending unit is around there for the oil pressure, it may be the problem, but do the cleaning 1st.

Oil leak

Hello
In order to fix an oil leak you must know where the leak is coming from, to do this you must have the oil and dirt removed from the engine, then the best thing to do is have a dye put in the oil that glows under a black light, drive the car for 10 miles or so and look all over the engine for the source(s) of the oil leak.

The drive belt broke on my 1994 lincoln mark viii cause of the power steering pump was bad replaced both now it won't shift all the way to drive whats wrong with the transition i broke a synsore on...

You mean the serpentine belt? It should have nothing to do with how the trans shifts-but shut off the air ride switch, jack the car up high on the driver side and look under the center of the car at the trans-there is a 'MLPS' (aka 'neutral safety switch, about $40) that are known to go bad-quite possibly your exact problem.

I don't know how much oil i need for an oil change

With oil filter you'll need 5 quarts. After changing oil and filter run briefly and check for leaks. Shut down the engine and check oil level is correct.
I hope this may have helped,

Whent I drive my 1993 Mark VIII the front air bags on the air ride suspension collapse when I hit 50 MPH. when the car is turned off and let sit for a while the suspension pumps back up again. I've already...

The Mark has a feature that lowers the car 1" or so, I cant remember if thats in the controller (air ride computer) or the main computer. Thats where I see the connection. Unless something you've changed is also bad, I cant think of anything else in the system, other than your sensors and I think theres just 2 of them in the back...and cant see how they could cause your problem.
Check the Mark VIII forums to be sure, lotsa smart people over there. I have 2 Mark VIIIs and was a Ford-trained mechanic that worked at a dealership for years. They know things I didnt!
