Buick 2000 lasabre got fuel and spark but car won't start ,
plugs wet when i take them out. engine cranks fine, changed map sensor didn't help.
JEFF MORE INFO THIS BUICK WAS RUNNING FINE,THEN IT WOULDN'T START MECH TOLD OWNER BAD INJECTOR,IT SET FOR A MONTH STARTED UP AND WAS DROVE OVER 300 MILES THEN THE SAME THING WON'T START ANY MORE HINTS ?
I would test injector's power and grounding circuit especial . The PCM - engine computer gives a ground for the injectors threw a transistor inside the PCM .There are videos on youtube show how to do this . One bad injector wouldn't cause a no start ! GM had bad injectors some time in the past , know rember when . http://norcal-cobras.com/GTM/gm-tech-lin...I would test injector's power and grounding circuit especial . When it won't start i would also check to see if there is spark. Pull both plug wires off of a coil an crank the engine , do you see spark jump from one coil tower to the other !Also , does it have a Mass air flow sensor ?When it won't start i would also check to see if there is spark. Re: buick 2000 lasabre got fuel and spark but car won't...
How much compression does the engine have ? Jumped time ? These GM engine's had cam gear made of aluminum with teflon coating and they wear and the timing slips

If it is getting spark I will assume the timing belt is working. You say the fuel pump is good, so what is the fuel pressure at the rail ? Are the spark plugs wet or dry ? Can you get it to try to start by using starting fluid ? You may have to get someone to check the computer for trouble codes which requires a scanner or code reader.
Change your oxygen sensors - they're responsible for feedback that the computer uses to determine the air/fuel mixture. They usually are good for about 60k miles and then start to go downhill. When they get to a point that the computer won't trust them, it ignores them and runs on preprogrammed fuel maps that run excessively rich (too much fuel) to safeguard the engine. You've probably seen a decrease in fuel mileage as well. And the O2 sensors have to be up around 900 degrees before they'll work - the car ignores them until then. That's why you run fine after a cold start but run rough once the car is warmed up.
The O2 sensors you want to change are in the exhaust system between the engine and catalytic converters (the "pre-cat" sensors). There are O2 sensors after the cats as well, but those are used comparatively to determine how well the cats are functioning. The primaries are the ones used for fuel mixture. If it's been this way for a few weeks or so, I'd put new spark plugs in as well - rich fuel conditions can foul them and contribute to the rough running.
TRY THE PLUGS ,CAP&ROTOR CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER,STILL NO START,THEN CHECK THE FUEL FILTER NOW, IT SHOULD BE WET,IF NOT THEN YOUR FUEL PUMP IS NOT WORKING
You need to check the oil with the dipstick (wipe in down a few times) to see if it looks like a chockalate milk shake. If coolent has made its way into the oil you have blown head gasket. The fuel pump which is usually in the gas tank in most gm vehicles would not cause white smoke, if it failed you car would not start because your engine would not get any gas to the injectors
