Infiniti 2004 G35, need to replace speed sensor, looking to verify that valve covers need to be replaced in order to replace sensors?

I'm not sure when you say valve covers (with an "s") In any case you do need to remove the pan on the transmission. Below is a picture of its location. This picture is with the pan already removes. It is the connector for the revolution sensor (also know as a speed sensor). Hope this helps,,,,,

the sensor for the e-brake came loose .the sensor has to be adjusted.its hard to get to with the limited space under the dash. take it to the dealer or secure it down by tighting the phillips screw.
