Car starts, but won't stay running

My car starts up but then dies in just a few sec

I hve a 2001 crown victoria and it will start but won't stay running unless i hold my foot on the gas

Check all of the ducts and hoses for the intake system-- having had the throttle body cleaned--they may have left something loose which would cause a vacuum leak. A vacuum leak would cause this.

It could actually be the battery. If the battery has a weak cell, it will produce enough power to run certain things in the vehicle but not the vehicle it self. It will charge at times, and at other times it will not. If you can drive the vehicle at all, then you know it is not a fuel issue. i had this problem with my 94 Mistibishi Montero LS.

OK guys this is what fix my problem with the Honda 94 and it could happen to any honda from 90s to 2000 or plus Tue Hondas have two valves that control the idle but one control the high rpm when the car is cold and the other one control the idle when is hot you will see the diference because the cold idle valve don't had electric plug........ Well my problem was my car was running fine for a few minutes but then stall and don't fire up for several hours or a day and then I. Try everything I know ...... Fuel.. Fuel pressure. Relay's..... Plugs. .. Plugs wires........well .....all the main could caused those problems...... Weeks pass and can't drive my car because it stall in minutes and some time s. Don't fire up till the next day ....... Well in my day off work....... I tried again. Check and recheck all I start. The car and just Wait. I remove the air filter tube or pipe... From the trotle body and there are two little holes in there for the idle valves one for the cold start and one for the electronic well I was checking the flow on those the car was cold and like there minutes ...just for a millisecond I turn my head away from the engine and the car die ......??????? Wtf....... Well ...... I knew that is going to at any point but what I see was a lot of antifreeze coming out of the idle valve hole ..........OMG....... That was the problem so much water going into the piston the Engine stall and don't want to start until is dry again .... To be sure ... I clean everything ... Remove spark plugs all and they were soke in antefreez..... Well then I call my son to help me to start the car.....OK the car start ...I was watching the trotle body ....guess what antifreeze coming out from the idle valve port. And the engine stall. Well now you know my pain with my honda .. Most of the time is the cold start valve because is only controlled by temperature ...but the electronic controlled it has a water hose too ...... We'll my problemo was the cold start valve fix the problem....... Sad for me because I really like the car but in 2012 some as@$&&%$#..e. Stole it and ripe apart looks like for fun well god bless you and have fun
