I would suspect the ignition starter switch is defective.

2012 Nissan Sentra SR. No start, replaced crank sensor, fuel pump operating, and had ECM fixed. Still turns over, but no start.

'done all wrong, sorry, modern cars, are not like 1980s back./
at all. USA car? not told. country. sadly
no miles engine over 100k miles.?
no engine told and is an ENGINE problem (EFI) hummmmmm1

fuses are first make sure all are good. first.
cranks fast bu does no start, or run or stay running, bingo.
.
next is scan tool it, cranked, scan tool there, tells you P03xx errors
bingo spark dead and why all in 1 minutes work, amazing no?

next is test spark , learn that all PCM if it detects spark bad (or any of its pRECURSOR) injections a are cut 100% to prevent crash and burn and by law,
spark at all spark plugs are tested, not just 1, all
Sentra is only of the most populated cars on earth, so there are no secrets about it.
even sold for flex fuel in Bazil.
we can not guess engines or fuel. some are CNG.
guessing at GEN 6 Sentra me.
Gasoline:
2.0 L MR20DE I4 <<< this engine?
2.5 L QR25DE I4

the MR20 has 4 cop coils, (coil over plugs) all 4 must sparkl
all 4 spark wells not full of oil, all 4 boots not carbon arc damaged.
if 1 fails it is bad
if al fail the PCM is NOT HAPPY (logic) it sees one of 3 things wrong
1: CKP dead.
2: 1 or 2 CMP cam sensors dead.
3: cmp to ckp timing way off, but is DOHC chain cam, was the chain sceaming-like made before it died, I sure will if bad.

learn to beg, barrow, rent or buy a OBD2 scan tool,

if has spark x4 and timed right, (means no cam failures)
fuel is last never ever first or go broke fast , I see you did.
then we check fuel pressure at the fuel rail
not pull a gas tank and take a bath in gasoline ever.
not order above..

all 4 cylinder dead. and coil? no spark?
did you hook up all sensors. as the 96 had,(usa car has more)
usa car is OBD2 and runs crank and cam sensors to do misfire detection.(fed law)
any scan tool will tell you why,!
here posted 100 times in ORDER
  1. fuses all good, 12vdc both sides, key on, or its bad.
  2. keyon
  3. CEL lamp in dash turns on, if not ,see #1
  4. plug in scan tool, get comms.? good, pcm talks !
  5. crank for 5 seconds. (least) release key, not off.
  6. SEE Those DTC errors, for spark , cmp, ckp, (P03xx errors)
  7. bingo.? RPM dead cranking? scan tools can see RPM.
  8. sure! my bet by now you found it.

HOW HARD OF A JOB IS REPLACING CRANK SENSER ON 2004 NISSON SENTRA

on a 4 cyl is very easy, Nissan recommends replacement of both the crank and cam sensor together, but the crank sensor is in the back of the engine, near the transmission bell housing under the engine mount bracket. the cam sensor is in the back of the cylinder head and both have 1 bolt each, 10mm.

Suzuki Aerio 2004, will crank over floods out tho. Changed Plugs and Boots. New baterry too. Can smell gas @ Tail pipe. Wants to fire-but just won't catch. Where do I start looking for the answers.?

what engine? 2.3 or 2.5L?
all cylinders flooding??? spark tips on ALL dripping in gas?
check spark at all spark plugs ( ALL not just ONE)
if spark is good.
this engine is chain cam, so it makes huge noise before death.
did it?, nah
ok, so connect any $9 scan tool, and scan it. (barrow /rent.?)

you crank it for 5 seconds, not less.
and as you crank the scan tool RPM shows 250 to300 rpm and fails to start, the RPM on the tool shows you that the crank sensor is working
now release the key and do not turn off
look for DTC errors. got P0340,355? or any other DTC
that decodes to bad CMP or CKP/
yes, BINGO, the scan tool told you why spark is dead, or way off
timing,

the PCM will report Cmp or CKP errors even 1 in 6 pulses.
the PCM runs monitors against these 2 full time. and will see it fail.
and report, it, let it tell why spark is bad.
say spark is good. and still floods.
1: engine compresssion over 150psi? W.O.T?
2: flooding , i pull the fuel pump relay and crank now.
starts and runs for 3 -5 seconds, yes, that is the flood clearing
so i then try test fuel, runs perfect now (no fuel pump) ???
runs for 3 second, each test fuel usage. well good motor, good spark.
what more do you want? sure to run
so you have either insane high fuel pressure. or injectors leaking
can and does happen.
the tests are all in the FSM under injector and pump testing.
i check fuel pressure first. as its a mandatory thing.....
to factory spec. for unsaid engine.
then i do a injector leak down and balance check.
ask if you get this far.....????

2005 nissan altima codes p0725, po335. how to fix

P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction P0725 Engine Speed input Circuit Malfunction
  1. Using a scan tool, check if, when engine is running or cranking, that there is an RPM signal.
  2. If there is no RPM reading, then visually inspect the crank sensor and connector for any damage and repair as necessary. If there is no visible damage, and you have access to a scope, you could check the CKP 5 Volt square wave pattern. If you do not, then, obtain a resistance reading of your crank sensor from a repair manualmag-glass_10x10.gif. (There are so many different types of crank sensors that there's no way to put here which resistance reading is correct). Then check the resistance of the CKP sensor by disconnecting the sensor and measuring resistance of the sensor. (It is best to check resistance readings from the PCM connector. This rules out any wiring problems from the start. But it does require some mechanical skill and shouldn't be performed if you\'re not familiar with automobile electrical systems). Is the sensor within resistance specs?
  3. If not, replace the CKP sensor. If so, recheck resistance reading from the PCM connector. Is the reading still okay?
  4. If not, repair open or short in the wiring to the crank sensor and re-check. If the reading is okay, the problem is intermittent or the PCM may be at fault. Try reconnecting and checking for RPM signal again. If there is now an RPM signal, wiggle test the wiring harness to try and induce the fault.

The car started out jerking while going then when i parked it it would not start back.what could be wrong with it

Crank & or cam sensor sounds like the probable cause. A scan tool to see codes & if you have rpm, ect is the best starting point.also make sure oil level is full, a stuck actuator caused by low oil flow can cause this also.

No start

It sounds like you have possibly two problems for your concern. One... the crank and cam sensor could cause this. Two... a faulty fuel pump could cause this.

Nissan experienced a huge problem from the supplier of the crank and cam sensors. The supplier has upgraded the sensors from plastic to metal for improvement. Using a scan tool you can monitor the crank sensor RPM and the cam sensor RPM. If they are zero when spinning the engine over then you will need to replace them.

Check the fuel pressure and if it is not ok then make sure the proper power is sent to the fuel pump. The fuel pump is located through an access hole under the rear seat. Remove the cover and disconnect the connector check the terminal for power. It will be the one to the right of the 5 pin gray connector black with yellow tracer wire. You should have battery voltage with the key on. The voltage will only be triggered for 1 to 2 seconds. If that is ok the fuel pump is faulty... replace it.
