Wow one of the only posts ever with country. (we are USA)
Kamusta
you sir , I tip my hat and say Bravo or Salud (sp)
I guess you are timing the cam. with no books.
or diesel pump gear timing??? always use full nouns on jobs
cam timing, oil pump timing,? see?
sure most posters here are posting with no books
no online books, and cant find it in googling.
did you search here yet>?
finding this is not easy, with google, vast virus infected pdf , seen..
(evil sites, show up every day, endless now)
here is the our last posts here , and may be answered..

warning, many posts are for wrong engine,
for many reasons, (the search engine is DUMMB)
the person answering does not know that the engines are not all the same. (nor injection systems) same is true with lame search engines... the search engine cant find the correct truck engine
omg, what a line that is....
best is to go to your dealer, and buy the book
the service manual.. it is called, some dealers will have 5 books
one for body, and 1 for every engine opted... ask them?
if you cant find it with google, after getting infected 100 times
with virus's then it will be best to buy a real book, from the maker.

I have found that one can mark (Paint pen) the gears and teeth (One tooth and one corresponding belt rib) on each gear prior to removing the belt. You can then overlay the old belt on a new belt and mark the same spots on the new belt and then install the belt so your marks on the gears and belt line up as they did before you removed the old belt. Given that your timing was right to start with....if done correctly, this will work.

there should be a dot on either cam shaft and a marking on the belt that line up. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?chapterTitle=Engine+Mechanical+Components&partName=Engine+Mechanical&pageId=0900c1528002abcd&subChapterTitle=Timing+Belt+Cover%2C+Belt+%26amp%3B+Sprockets&partId=0900c1528002ab6d

Yes be sure the number one piston is at TDC firing stroke or compresson stroke and line up the timing mark pointer is pointed at exactly zero. One more thing when aligning the camshaft sprocket or sprockets be sure that when you are rotating the sprocket for the cam it is rotating in the correct direction and also be sure you observe the intake valve for number one shutting as you bring the marks up to alignment points, the intake valve and the exhaust valve should be shut when the marks line up if not you could have the cam sprocket off 180 degrees, get it right the first time or you may damage a valve trying to start.
