SOURCE: input/turbine speed sensor circuit

Your speed sensor, is located on top of the transaxle, near the starter. To access it, remove the battery, then remove the battery tray (4 10mm bolts). You will see wires coming from the lower oxygen sensor, and they snap into the bracket that holds the speed sensor in place. The actual speed sensor has a 2 wire clip on it, and is held in place by the bracket and a 10mm bolt.

SOURCE: 2001 ford focus o2 sensor

there are two sensors on your car, one is before your catylitic converter and just after the exhaust runners come together, it may be hidden due to your heat shield, the second one will be after the catylitic converter and will easiest to see from under the car, if you look onto the site for autozone you can see a picture of one and if they have the guide they sometimes have pictures too

I had a 2001 and the transmission was not shifting correctly that was diagnosed as a speed sensor issue.

There is a speed sensor on the transmission, near the rear.

And there is a speed sensor on one of the front wheel hubs...

We're is the speed input circuit at o a 2003 ford focus 2.3 liter zx3

The speed input circuit in a 2003 Ford Focus 2.3 liter ZX3 is typically located in the Engine Control Module (ECM) or the instrument cluster. The speed input circuit is responsible for providing the ECM with the speed of the vehicle, which is used to control various systems such as the fuel injection and transmission shift points.
In some cases, the speed input signal may come from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), which is typically located on the transaxle or the differential. This sensor detects the rotational speed of the drive shaft and converts it into an electrical signal that is sent to the ECM or the instrument cluster.
If you're experiencing issues with the speed input circuit, you may need to have the system inspected and repaired by a qualified technician. They can perform tests to determine the cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs to restore proper operation.

I have a 54 plate ford focus and when im driving along my speedo jumps from 60/70 to 0 mph and back again whats the problem/

Could be the sensor in the transmission (which detects the speed based on ratios) not sending the correct information, the computer malfunctioning or the instrument cluster itself. You'll need to take your vehicle by a shop that has a Fault Code reader to find out if there are any fault codes which would better indicate what the exact problem is. If you have an Advance Auto Parts store nearby, they'll do this free of charge.
